Ingredients Needed
- Lean Ground Beef 93/7 (10.0 oz)
- Diced Tomatoes (1.0 cup)
- Garlic Powder (0.25 tsp)
- Pepper (0.125 tsp)
- Part Skim Ricotta Cheese (1.5 cup)
- Reduced Fat Mozzarella String Cheese (6.0 oz)
- Reduced Fat Parmesan Cheese (3.0 tbsp)
- Egg Beaters - Original (0.025 cup)
- Garlic Powder (0.25 tsp)
- Italian Seasoning (1.0 tsp)
Instructions
Try this meat lasagna that doesn't only looks good but tastes good! And you don't have to worry about the calories, because this is a diet friendly recipe!
- Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Ground beef has been pre-cooked.
- Combine tomatoes, garlic powder, and ground beef into the pan, then season it with salt and pepper.
- Stir all the ingredients, then put the lid on and simmer it for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
- To make the cheese filling, mix the part skim ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg beaters, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, Italian seasoning, add ¾ cup of mozzarella cheese, and season it with a little bit of pepper.
- Finish it by adding the remaining mozzarella cheese to cover the top. Transfer the meat into the baking dish, filling the bottom, and then sprinkle the cheese on top.
- Put it in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly. When it’s cooked, take it out in the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving, so that the lasagna won’t fall apart when sliced.
- Tips: You can use pasta in this recipe but, no pasta means less carbs! So why not replace pasta with some healthier options like sliced zucchini or cabbage leaves?
- Zucchini and cabbage are rich in fiber which helps healthy digestion, maintain low blood sugar and also curbs over eating too. Doesn’t that sound good in your ears? And because of that melted cheese and meat sauce you wouldn’t miss the pasta anyways! :)
