Instructions
Your search for the best ranch salad dressing for Medifast ends here. Here’s a quick and easy recipe for everyone to try.
- Prepare and measure the ingredients as listed above. Be precise with the measurements.
- While the recipe uses sour cream, you may substitute this with low fat buttermilk, non fat greek yogurt, or even non fat cottage cheese.
- You may substitute Miracle Whip with your favorite fat free mayonnaise as well.
- Creating your salad dressing from scratch allows you to control the amount of salt that goes into it. You can completely remove the salt or just add a little according to your preference. This goes the same for the black pepper.
- You can use a bowl to mix the ingredients in. Better yet, get a sealable glass jar with a wide opening so your salad dressing can go directly to the fridge after mixing.
- Preparing this dressing is very easy. Start with the Miracle Whip and sour cream. Mix them using a fork inside the glass jar until well incorporated.
- Add the ingredients one by the one and while continuously stirring after each addition. Leave the salt and black pepper last.
- Before adding the salt and black pepper taste your salad dressing first. If you think it’s still a little bland, add the salt and black pepper.
- Most of the time, you won’t need the additional salt as your main ingredients in this recipe are already lightly salted.
- After mixing, seal the jar and leave the dressing in the fridge for a couple of hours to infuse the flavors some more.
- Before using, stir the mixture again.
- While this recipe is low in calories and fat, use only about a tablespoon for your Medifast meals. This can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.
- I like to use this dressing for taco salads or even just for the regular set of greens.
- Enjoy!
