Instructions

It is a common knowledge that vegetables are the most essential and healthy group of foods around. But not everyone loves eating veggies and would much prefer meat over them. This Nutrisystem Vegetable Green Shake Recipe is sure to help to take in more vegetables than usual as it s ot only easy to prepare but is also as tasty as any other fruit shakes.

  • Wash thoroughly all vegetables and fruit. When washing fruits and vegetables, gently rub them under running water and do not use soaps or detergents. These intoxicating chemicals will only leave residue to your fruits and veggies and you don’t want that to happen.
  • Prepare vegetables for the blender. In some cases, veggies that are frozen have actually more nutrition than fresh ones when the field where they were grown is near the facility where they were frozen as the freshness stays in them rather than fresh veggies that are carted for thousands of miles.
  • Place all or part of the ingredients in the blender and blend until the mixture is nice and smooth. You can add ingredients one at a time if you wish to and add more liquid as needed. When blending, put liquid ingredients/mixture in the jar first, and then followed by the rest of the ingredients. Also, it is always advisable to cut the ingredients on smaller portions to circulate around the blade well.
  • Once properly blended, add 1 or 2 drops full of the Liquid Stevia Extract to taste. You cannot expect your vegetable to taste as pleasant as any other fruit shakes so it is always better to use a drop or two. Liquid Stevia Extract is not only ideal for shakes and smoothies but also in herbal teas and other beverages that need sweetening.
  • When all done, divide the drink into 3 tall glasses or depends on the number of your guests and refrigerate what’s left. It is most likely best to make sure you drink each batch within a 24 hour period to get the most out of your vegetable mixture.
