  1. 99% Fat Free Chicken Broth (20.0 cup)
  2. Salt (10.0 tsp)
  3. Parmesan Cheese (Fat Free) (20.0 cup, grated)
  4. Cooking White Wine (20.0 cup)
  5. Lemon Juice (20.0 cup)
  6. Pine Nuts (20.0 cup)
  7. Basil (Fresh, Packed) (80.0 cups)
  8. Garlic (80.0 cloves)

Instructions

Here’s a simple and quick to do recipe for pesto sauce.

  • Place a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 cup of pine nuts and toast until their color becomes golden brown.
  • When done, remove from heat and set aside.
  • Next, using a food processor or a blender, add 4 cups of basil, 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic, and add the toasted nuts. Pulse until blended.
  • Then add 1 cup of fat-free grated parmesan cheese, 1 cup of cooking white wine, 1 cup of lemon juice, and ½ cup of fat-free and low sodium chicken broth. Pulse until the ingredients are well-combined.
  • Add salt and continue to blend. When done, take it out from the blender or food processor and transfer in a bowl.
  • This is best served on seafood, chicken, or pasta.
