Here’s a recipe that will satisfy your craving and won’t add a lot of unhealthy things in your body. This is a soy sausage muffin recipe for those who are on P90X diet.

  • Cook the sausage by following the cooking instructions on the package.
  • Add mozzarella cheese on top of the English muffin. Cook it in a toaster oven or using the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Put the cooked sausage on one muffin half and put some on top with the other half.
  • Cooking Tips:

There are 3 ways that you can cook or heat the 3 Morningstar Farms sausage patties:

If you are using an oven, preheat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and put the frozen patties in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

If you are using a skillet, put the frozen patties in a cold nonstick skillet, and cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes while occasionally flipping over to make sure that both sides of the patties are equally cooked.

If you are using a microwave, put the frozen patties on a microwave save plate and microwave on high. Turn over halfway through cooking time to make sure that both sides of the patties are browned evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Facts on Cheese:

Cheese is an excellent choice to gain protein and calcium. Cheese can also help you lose weight since protein curbs hunger and keeps you feeling satisfied after meals and snacks.

The calcium that can be found in cheese can help you maintain strong teeth and bones and it will help you prevent osteoporosis. The zinc in cheese can aid tissue growth and repair, avoids and heal macular degeneration, and guard your skin and keep your nails strong.

Blue Cheese is known to be low in fat or fat free which is a very good choice to help you manage gout and osteoporosis and helps you to maintain strong and healthy teeth. You should limit your blue cheese intake if you want to lose weight or if you have high cholesterol, heat problems, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, or memory problems.

Cheddar Cheese is a sharp-tasting cheese that is also a good source of calcium and protein, calorie dense, and high in saturated fat.

Cream Cheese is a soft cheese spread that doesn’t contain protein and calcium like the other cheeses.
Feta Cheese is a salty and crumbly cheese and is relatively high in fat especially saturated fat. You should enjoy feta cheese in moderation.

Mozzarella Cheese is also a great source of protein and calcium. The calcium in this kind of cheese helps maintain healthy and stable blood pressure.

Parmesan Cheese is a famous hard cheese that is commonly used in preparing salads and pasta dishes. It is easy to eat in moderation because of its strong flavor.

Ricotta cheese can be included in your healthy diet especially if you are into reduced-fat/part-skim or fat-free varieties. It is also a soft cheese and a good source of calcium and protein.

Romano Cheese is a hard cheese with sharp and salty flavor similar to Parmesan cheese. Most cheeses are high in sodium so if you have high blood pressure you should eat only moderate amounts.
