I ALWAYS makes my shakes with 8oz water and 4oz almond milk (1 condiment) - makes them so much more satisfying. Usually add ground flax as well for a little more fiber (sorry, can't remember if it's a condiment or a fat or what.
). And sometimes a dash of SF caramel syrup, yum!.
Steph - I use it in place of milk for almost everything. Just make sure to get unsweetened and unflavored if you do this (vanilla almond milk does not work very well in quiche, lol)..
The SoDelicious coconut milk is AMAZING! I have the low sugar kind and a 1 cup serving is like 40 cals, 4 grams of fat and 1 carb. I have never used more than 1/4 cup for anything so it's a really small amount of cals/fat for the deliciousness of it.
I looked at some almond and rice milks and nothing else was as low in carbs/cals as the coconut milk is..
