Tried them both today. Very good. I like the pizza one best. It reminded me of a slightly overcooked, thin crust pizza. Texture is similar to the puffs. The bbq was pretty good...better than the puffs (which I like.) I will not buy the puffs again for a very long time..
I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't like the bites. I took one taste of the BBQ ones and dropped the rest of the bag in the garbage. Sent the rest back. I know we get used to the tastes, etc. but my response was so extreme I really don't want to ever put them in my mouth again - especially since there are so many products I love (parm puffs are my very favorite). The pizza bites I cculd get through, but that's it; I will at least try those again. I have read MANY rave reviews about both products, so this is another example of how different we all are! Still looking forward to the spiced pancakes!.
I think they are meh but edible. They have been added to my routine. I like snacky foods during the day while I'm working and since I have Celiac, the puffs were my only option. I don't like the after-taste-burbs though..
Disclaimer: The bites are not certified GF, so people that are super sensitive may want to avoid them, I haven't had a reaction to them though..
I make a "trail mix" out of all the puffs, pretzels and now the bites...however many bags you put in a large bowl, divide by that number...should be about 3/4 cup per bag...yum!.
I ordered some of each today. I thought spiced pancakes would be a nice fall treat maybe mixed with a tablespoon of canned pumpkin for muffins. The pancakes , shakes, oatmeal are all great to mix and try a new recipe. I love the soups made into flat breads. Keeps it from being boring..
I did not like the pizza bites too much of a herb after taste, liked the bbq, but I did feel that they both had a chalky texture and it was hard to eat the whole bag..
The parmesan puffs, and didn't care much for the mustard pretzels. I was very hesitant when my wife ordered the BBQ Bites and the Cinnamon Pretzels..
The cinnamon pretzels were OK. Much better than the Honey Mustard. But I thought the BBQ Bites were "da bomb". I even dipped them in a little hot sauce for that extra pow. Didn't notice the nasty aftertaste that I got with the puffs. Also for those of us formerly big eaters, the bag of bites is HUGE which makes it nice to get something that takes a while to eat. As a big fan of Funyons, I also noticed the texture of the bitest to be very similar to Funyons...so now if they'd just make an onion flavor, I'd be set! ;-).
I had the pizza bites for lunch. I was pretty happy with them. Then again I like all the Medifast food. I just had to have extra water available since they were a little dry..
