Is anyone else finding they are having a heck of a time keeping their carbs on mark? I just had breakfast and I'm already halfway to my top carbs for the day. So frustrating.

The settings are for a low carb, and higher fat/protein diet. If you are not following such a regimen then figure out what is nutritionally sound for you and change your settings. For instance, I eat a largely vegetarian / raw diet, so I need to eat more carbohydrates to get the calories and nutrients I need. My setting may not be right for you though. Also, carbs from vegetables and some whole grains are much better for you than refined carbs as you already know. Many who are trying to lose weight feel a low carb diet works best for them. I have success with fruit in my diet, so I don't opt for a low carb diet, but generally stay away from refined grains or sugars.

I'm trying so hard to get my carbs/sugar down too, but it's such a struggle! Mid afternoon, I start to crave carbs, and a handful of nuts or mug of tea doesn't always help. Trying to stay focused, though!

Try a carb with a lot of fiber, like vegetables with hummus, or air-popped popcorn. Make sure that the fiber fills you up without adding a lot of calories and has a little bit of carbs to give you some energy. Ration yourself so you don't go over-board and then eat a low carb supper with some protein. You might also look at your lunch and see if you need to adjust the ratios of protein and vegetables to carry you further towards supper time. Good luck!

I have the same problem -- my carbs and sugars go way off the chart even when I think I am being good. I chalk it up to needing to learn more about nutrition (as a former dancer/veggie/vegan I thought I knew it all, but I think my active lifestyles just allowed me to slack without paying attention!). Beans help me a lot, as they are filling and proteiny and there's a huge variety -- lentil salads, etc.

I really wish they'd let people know that sugar from fruit *isn't* bad.

I like that it's making me aware that I'm eating a lot of sugar and more carbs than are necessarily optimal for weight loss, but as someone who eats meat/eggs/dairy less than once a week, it's hard not to end up on the carb heavy side.

I'm having the same problem! My sugar and carbs are always over the limit halfway through the day, even though I think I'm eating "healthy" stuff.

You can change your settings to fix the limits, you know. I took the total from the carb/fat/protein that they gave me and calculated out 40/30/30% (my personal weight-loss ratio, yours may be different) to get new numbers. Enter them in settings and save.
