    Hello,.

I'm only on Day 4 and need some ideas for things that can be added. I know all the starter guide gives specific things, but when is it okay to "branch out" beyond those things on the list? I keep seeing PB2, Laughing cow...etc..

Mostly looking for ways to give things extra flavor without going off the plan. I've only used some Torani sugar free syrup here at home..

Thanks in advance for the help!.

    Welcome!!.

Here is a link to a great thread. Though I will warn you that it is LONG!! But some great advice for newbies!.

Also, let me introduce you to Sandy's Kitchen!! She has great recipes for Medifast foods as well as Lean & Greens (click on the Medifast tab)..

My current fave is the chili! Who knew! I make it with organic vegetable stock and soak it for 24 hours and add a tablespoon of hot sauce. Yum!.

    Good luck!!.

Nutrition Support keeps changing their minds on if PB2 is "on program" or not..

    It is.

    Not.

On the Optional Snack list as posted under Success Tools..

Have you tried the shakes blended with ice in a blender? ...or tried the cappuccino, hot chocolate or puddings blended with ice in the blender? Really good!.

Recipes are great, but my suggestion is to keep your meals as simple as possible with as few additives as you can..

    HI there,.

I add a drop or two of hot sauce and also grow some of my own fresh herbs. A sprinkling of fresh basil or cilantro really perks things up and you can have 1 cup of each of these as a condiment. I don't add anything else as I want to stay OP as much as possible. Also remember you can add a tbsp of parmesan cheese to the "cream" based soups that really adds a nice flavor and that counts as one condiment. Go for the really good parmesan, not the Kraft crap, and you will be amazed!.

My savior is tabasco sauce! I like the regular, jalapeno, and the regular with garlic. Salsa is good too. Salsa Verde (green salsa) makes a nice dressing for salads..

Anyone have any comments on greek yogurt?.

I add some Ms. Dash table blend to a lot of things and it really helps give it a kick. I also love adding chipotle hot sauce for intense flavor and laughing cows are a must. All of those use just a little to make a big impact. I find that making things spicy does help me. Good luck!.

Blender with ice for shakes, soft serve, pudding, soft bake, brownies, cappuccino, etc. A small amount of SF syrup, if needed. I love Frappuccino type drinks..

You may find, as time goes on, that you need less and less additives. At first, I was not happy about the blandness of the food, but then I got used to it..

That said, I do use some Torani sugar free syrups (vanilla, hazlenut, and salted caramel is the latest one I got) in the shakes. And garlic powder has become my soup friend..

Just a few sprinkles, so not enough to make 1 condiment. That plus a little bit of fresh parsley or basil or cilantro, if you have it, can really help things..

    Chris.

I never cut back on the seasonings or counted them as condiments.

Dont stress on the little things.
