Let's each share something to inspire others - I would have to say I am trying to lose weight not only for my health, but so I can get some really nice clothing at a good price. There are great places online to get some really nice clothing at good prices, if you are a size 10 or less. :( ..... #Motivation!

Hey Arlene. This is a great idea. Just curious, where do you usually like to shop for clothes?

For me, I want to have children soon and start a family, and I know to be the best mom I have to be fit, and healthy so that my kids can learn the same from me.

I picked up a lot of weight over the past 3-4 years, and to be honest, I've been ignoring it and just pretending it doesn't exist. But a few months ago, a few relatives made some cruel remarks about how fat I was getting, and that gave me some motivation to do something about it. I don't usually see these relatives often.. maybe once a year, so the next time I see them, I hope they will see what a change I made. I know you gotta lose weight for yourself, but hey.. some rivals can't hurt, lol.

Those are both great reasons to lose weight. What websites do you normally buy online clothes from?

It's great that you have found motivation through rivalry :D sometimes a push helps things along, right?

my main inspiration is for my career. i don't want to be an overweight nutritionist and would really like to be able to run, jump and be as energetic as i used to be.

I'm in school studying to become a healthcare aid but transferring to nursing. The hours are long and generally very active. I need good health for that and to be a good role model for my kids. I gained too much after the birth of both my boys and need to drop the weight and regain my energy.

I used to be really fit, but ran into severe depression concerning my lack of a job and/or direction in life; always have had a depressive personality, but this was baaad - spent several months doing nothing.

Now I have a job, and a motivation: last trip I took I saw a friend of mine in a bathing suit doing some tricks on the beach, and thought "hm, I used to look like that and be able to run and jump and flip like that."

Good kick in the butt and a reminder that being naturally slender does NOT equal healthy, and that sallow and malnourished does NOT equal beautiful!

I'm motivated to be fit and healthy not only to keep up with my daughter but to finally to feel comfortable (or as comfortable as one can be) in a bathing suit. I'd also love a closet full of clothes that fit and not have to struggle to find something to wear every day.

I'm a college student studying biology, in my genetics class I learned about epigentics, which is basically how you treat your body can change how your genes function which also gets passed onto your children. I'm not sure if thats inspiring but its sure motivating for me.

I used to be fit and was 20 pounds lighter than I am now. After a series of injuries, low self-esteem and no will power I gained weight and lost my strength.

Now as a part of working to become a better and healthier person I want to get my strength back. If I lose some extra pounds as well that will just be a bonus.

p.s. I have to agree with Arlene nice clothes for better prices would be great!

First off, I wish everyone luck with their fitness goals! You can do it! I believe in you!

Overall, I just want to be healthy before it gets out of control. I'm leaving for basic training in January and want to be in shape before I go so I'm not stressing about having to keep up with other people running or things like that, when I know I need to look out for it before hand. Also, I just quit smoking like two weeks ago and can already feel a difference in my body. If I take care of one thing, why not take care of more?

Best of luck to everyone in their daily fitness goals! :)
