I am doing everything the same, but for the last two weeks the scale has not budged. I'm very happy I did not gain, but not sure what I am doing wrong that I am not losing anymore.....
I have not been exercising except for walking the dog a couple times a week, but I was thinking I should add exercise? I initially planned on starting to exercise after the first two weeks as recommended, but really since I was losing, I did not want to change my routine, but that has changed.....
Has anyone else had this type of experience at about weeks 6-7? Any advice?.
Thanks!.
Btw I am 5'4 started at 191. Currently at 176 (week 7) Goal 135..
15 lbs in 7 weeks is still an average of 2.14 lbs per week. This is the point where your faith in the program gets tested. Verify that you are doing everthing that you are supposed too. Make sure that you are getting ENOUGH food... meaning everything you are entitled to eat on the plan..
Now just trust the plan. You have no choice but to lose weight on this plan if you follow it. Your body may fight it a little along the way... but I promise it will give in..
I'm with Kletus....give it time and trust you are doing everything correctly. Our numbers are similar and this has happened to me 3 times already. I had 2 times were I didn't loose anything for 15 days and once where it was 19 days and I took the scale at that point and put in the garage on a shelf behind boxes for 5 weeks. Best time I've had on this plan so far...freedom from the scale. It's been 5 months and even with the longer stalls I am kissing my original goal! Stay the course and trust the plan...you can do it!.
This has happened to me the 1st time I did Medifast years ago, even though the scale did not move the inches came off so measurements can be your friend in a time of weight loss stalls. Also as Jonesca mentioned the TOM can come into factor. You really should also start exercising as well your 5 weeks in you don’t have to over do it but getting your body moving can help at this point I think anyway.
I eliminate any stress by not weighing at all. I've done the program before and know that it works. The first time I did medifast 2 years ago I started as a weekly weigher but the stress of scale has always bothered me so I became a monthly weigher. This time I decided to be a doctor visit weigher.
I have a post-op visit in October and will just wait until then to see how much I've lost. Of course, not everyone will like this approach! Just know that with Medifast the weight DOES come off!.
Also, weight loss won't be linear, so remember the body goes through periods of adjustment sometimes before a big whooosh! And I'm a firm believer that exercise is never a negative thing, as long as you do it correctly, and don't starve yourself by adding it in..
2 weeks isn't terrible. you might have lost this latest week and it might be masked by something like water retention or BM timing. Keep on truckin'!.
Your body is just re-adjusting itself. It is ok. Give it a bit more time. And DO shake up things a little bit! L&G, Medifast meals, not "the usual". For me, carb/cal cycling helped. If you are pretty low carb/cal wise, go a bit higher..
I am in the same situation. I am your height, started lower at 163, but lost 11 lbs in my first 5 weeks. And now nothing. Week 7 is coming to an end. I hit PMS and decided not to even bother with the scale. So will check monday but it doesn't feel like I dropped much more..
Funny you should post this !!!! tomorrow will be 6 weeks for me and I have been cruising along with approx 3 pounds down per week and as of this morning, I have lost ZERO pounds in the past week !!!.
I also lost about 15 pounds in 5 weeks so I am not complaining but yes, it does feel discouraging because I have been on plan 100%.
Thanks so much for the replies! I'm not too discouraged, it does feel like it is easier to follow the plan 7 weeks in.... I will try to change it up and add a bit more exercise and hope that helps. I also will probably try to change my food a bit too..

If you haven't taken your measurements yet, do it now, and check them once a month, or whenever you need a boost..
