So me and the chili are not getting along well. My stomach doesn't even like the smell of it. Is the sloppy joe similar? I love regular sloppy joe's, but i'm wondering if it's going to be like the chili..

I was so excited to try the sloppy joe after reading all the positive comments here but honestly I do not like it. It's too sweet for me. I haven't tried the chili (afraid to) so I cannot compare..

I love the sloppy joe. I do not like the sweet, so I put a good bit of hot sauce in it and it changes the flavor into sort a taco meat taste, yum..

I love the sloppy joe, but can't stand the chili. Give it a try! Soak it first..

I have never been able to stomach the Chili, but my husband likes it. I LOVE the Sloppy Joe!.

I enjoy both.. the key to the chili (for me) is to let it soak a while before cooking and then to add in a tablespoon of salsa (condiment) after it has cooked. I also use pepper frequently in all the soups, chili, and sloppy joes. I eat the sloppy joes as is BUT usually add in just a tad more water so it isn't so dry... actually now that I think about it I add extra water to all the soups. LOL The first time I ate the sloppy joes I literally thought I was going to throw up but about a week later I loved it when I tried it again! Don't buy it thinking it will be anything similar to a real sloppy joe though!! LOL.

I like both the chili and sloppy joe. The first time I made both, I didn't pay attention to how much water to add so I added a cup of water (I use 1 bouillon cube with all my soups). I thought it was strange because they seemed so soupy. I have since made both with the correct amount of water. I think next time I make the chili, I might add a tad bit more...seemed kind of thick and reminded me of Hormel chili (only in texture). But other than that, I liked the taste of both of them.

And I don't doctor up other than adding the bouillon cube (and it's chicken bouillon)..

The Sloppy Joe is my least favorite of all Medifast foods followed by the chili. I've been trying to trade the sloppy joes and no takers in my town! Lol..

I love the sloppy joe so this time around I got the chilli...well I still love the sloppy joe and I'll give the chilli an "ok" rating. Its got a strange texture that is kinda like soggy bread for the broth. I like the beans though. I'm going to try it again with more water and if it's less weird..

I mostly like the chili and the sloppy joe. Here's a trick for days I sort of don't mostly like them: I open a bag of BBQ or Pizza bites and sprinkle a small amount on top of the chili or sloppy joe. I feel like I'm having a "frito pie" or some chips with my sloppy joe. I save the rest of the bites for my afternoon Medifast meal. Be sure and don't stir up the bites into the chili/sloppy joe because they become soggy if you do. With the chili/sloppy joe so dense in texture, the bites stay on top.

    I'm out of bites!.

For the sloppy joes, I chop up a crunchy.

    Baby dill pickle.

It makes it really good. If you have room in your day, I sometimes take one of those Laughing Cow.

    Gouda.

Cheeses (not the triangle ones....the small round individually wrapped one in the red plastic), and when it melts in, it's quite good..

For the chili, I add 1/2 cup of.

    Rotel tomatoes.

To it, and it changes it completely. I sometimes also add 1tsp of taco seasoning as well, and sometimes a little low-fat cheddar cheese..

Obviously deduct those modifications from your L&G.....

I had my lean for the day with my sloppy joe today - 4 oz goat cheese. It was AWESOME! I love the sloppy joe, so versatile. Had it over a salad the other day... have added taco seasoning and 2% shredded cheese to it, etc..

My mom, whenever she would make sloppy joes, would cut up pickles on the sandwiches. It was crunchy and gave a bit of an acid flavor that complemented the meat taste..

    It's quite good. I prefer.

    Vlasic.

Baby Dills....none of the others are as good!.

Steve- I'll try the pickle trick..

But I combine the chili and the sloppy joe- let it sit for and hour or so nuke 2 min + 2 min- then add salsa and a dab of sour cream. Love it. If you are really hungry and skipped a meal, combining the 2 works well. My favorite meal..

Is sour cream allowed? I guess I could use LC cheese too..

I prefer the sloppy joe to the chili. The sloppy joe has a really nice hearty chewiness that makes it pretty filling. I like adding a bit of cumin, garlic and black pepper. Soak overnight, but it's actually not too bad when it hasn't soaked for long..

I LOVE the chili - one of my favorites. I soak it overnight, then add a tablespoon of pico de gallo (sp?) and a few squirts of hot sauce and it is super yummy. I have added a tsp of sour cream and sprinkle of cheese as well, but realized I didn't miss it so I leave those out now..
