Wow, I had been holding out for over 4 weeks before taking the plunge into Oatmeal. I had read so many horror stories here..

I loved it! It was the Maple & Brown Sugar version. I put it in a small tupperware container with 6 oz of water. Just took it out at work (so, after about 3 hours of sitting in the water). I put in a packet of Truvia, but I don't think it needed it. Microwaved for 2 minutes, stirring twice. I let it sit on my desk for a few minutes and it thickened..

Delicious! Can't wait to have it again tomorrow.

Me too! Well, almost! I think maybe I should follow your lead and let I soak longer. I left it for 15 minutes to so this morning. Put a bit of sf pancake syrup in it. Wasn't bad!!.

    Gonna try your version tomorrow!.

Well, it's good to hear that somebody else actually likes the oatmeal! I though I was the only one and that they would stop selling it because of the bad rap it gets!.

My favorite is blueberry. I just add 1/2 c water and microwave 1 min. Then stir it up and add a little almond milk. Every day!.

I like most of the things I see people writing about here - I like oatmeal, I like the parmesan puffs, etc. Ah well. Glad I'm easy.

(I have maple oatmeal most days as my midmorning feeding - I grew up eating maple instant oatmeal every morning for breakfast - so it feels like my childhood.

Me too! I have it every morning. It feels more like "breakfast". In my starter kit, I got the blueberry oatmeal - and I love blueberry flavored anything - so that's the first one I tried. Looked like absolute paste! Was NOT a fan. So not sure if the blueberry oatmeal was the problem - or the fact I tried in on my first day - but I love the Maple & Brown Sugar and Apple Cinnamon oatmeals. I don't understand their bad reviews! I guess everyone has their own tastes.

    A daily staple..

It's my favorite! I don't soak, just boil, cool, eat. I ordered 6 or 7 boxes last month because I also love making waffles out of it. You can search the main recipe thread for recipes..

As a side note, Truvia has carbs, if you count them like I do. I use the liquid Splenda - no carbs..

I make my oatmeal at work with the hot water from the keurig machines we have. I have bad luck microwaving things.

I make my soup for lunch the same way. Actually, pretty much anything that is supposed to cook in the microwave except the brownies I make another way..

Haven't tried the blueberry - I'm really funny about fake blueberry taste (I grow blueberries) so I haven't wanted to try. Fake maple and fake apple don't bother me so much.

I make mine into a muffin thing. Lol! I use the Medifast mug I got when I ordered a set of the hot drinks. I mix the oatmeal with 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon of water. Microwave 2 minutes. flip over, and microwave 30 more seconds or so. I let it cool a little, then slice it in half with a bread knife.

I love it best with a morning star farms sausage patty inside. (kind of like a mcgriddle sandwich).

Obviously it is easier to do this if you are at home, but I have always kind of liked the oatmeal, too. It is very filling to me..

I love the oatmealall the flavors! I do use 1 T of half and half but never tried soaking. I also got spiced pancakes this order, made a waffle (thanks, Bantam!) and that was great!.

I tried the Maple and Brown sugar oatmeal for the first time this morning, it was pretty good...reminds me a lot of the instant my teenagers eat. I may trying soaking it for awhile longer next time...thanks for the tip..

I love all the oatmeals, I keep it a little on the runny side as it does thicken like paste if you don't. I even like it like that though. I top mine with a couple TBS of 1/2 and 1/2 and a dash of cinammon. Eat it almost every work day for midmorning breakfast. It fills me up. I usually have the cold cereal or a bar first thing in the am with my tea then the oatmeal midmorning, soup/chili/sloppy joe for lunch and either a bar or hot chocolate for mid afternoon, L&G and brownie for last meal with nighty time tea! Love my MF!! I have been on it pretty faithfully for 9 months and am not tired of what I am eating...I have found I started adding in a little extras here and there last month though and weight loss slowed down. Need to get back to 100% for a couple of more months and I will be below my first goal and probably near my second goal..

I love the oatmeal also. My favorite is the Maple & Apple. Haven't tried the blueberry yet. It feels like morning when I have that. I also like the chocolate chip or spiced pancake made as a muffin with my coffee..

Try the mango soft serve with a dash of Torino sugar free syrup. Greatly improves the flavor..

Not a huge fan of it regular style, but mix in 5 or so tbsp of carbonated water & cook it in a skillet like a pancake & I'm all over it...sometimes even put some ICBINB & caramel sgr-free davinci syrup on it! Keeps me satisfied longer than the Medifast pancakes..

Now I have lots of people to send my oatmeal to. I don't think soaking it for a week would make it taste better! lol.

It's in the box of food I don't like with the Puffs, Bites and Mango soft serve..

I also make mine in the Keurig...brew on the smallest cup setting into a mug, add oatmeal, stir well, let it sit for a few minutes, and then eat! I couldn't stand the oatmeal the first time around on Medifast but love it now. I credit the Keurig.

I think the oatmeals are great. pour in 6oz water and let soak while I shower then nuke for 1.5min and your set. I agree the blueberry has an off color similar to paste but it and peach are my favorites..
