They discontinued the Scrambled Eggs back in November..
To Don the OP, I understand there are Medifast recipes that called for the Medifast Scrambled Eggs specifically. Maybe check eBay or Amazon to see if anybody still has some for sale. I'm sure somebody will start experimenting with recipes using the Original Style Eggs to see if they are a good substitute..
Okay, just went and looked. The eggs are right there to be ordered. I guess they are only egg whites? It says Original Style Eggs with Egg Whites. I would imagine they would work in any recipe..
Only the Scrambled Eggs were discontinued. They still have the Original Style and the Southwestern..
I actually like the Scrambled quite a bit. I make them on the stove as I would regular scrambled eggs and they are good topped with a little salsa. When I heard they were discontinuing them, I stocked up.
..
The Scrambled Eggs have egg whites and yolks, while the Original Style Eggs only have egg whites, so that will probably have an impact when people are using them in recipes..
Okay, further confused. If they only discontinued the SW eggs, then what is the problem? I must need more protein. Considering all of this food is dehydrated or instant..I don't think it will impact recipes..
Dear Confused, have you ever made a recipe that called for eggs and separated out the yolks and just used the whites? This is what I'm talking about. Egg Whites aren't the same thing as whole eggs!.
Scrambled eggs was the only WHEY egg choice so this is very limiting to those who try to limit their soy choices..
Also I believe the question is rather or not the recipes that called for Scrambled eggs will work with the original eggs with whites, or another product..
Actually I do understand that as I had a dessert business and personal chef business. Medifast food is nothing like the real thing. If there were yolks at all in the Medifast eggs, it was very negligible. It should make very little difference in a recipe if at all. If it does, 1 TBS of Egg Beaters should take care of it because of what they use to thicken them to be similar in texture to real eggs..
I loved the scrambled eggs...Its sad to know they no longer have them even though I am no longer on MF, future possibilities ya know...If I ever need to order again, they probable will not have any of my faves left on the menu...LOL.

MF has been selling 3 different types of eggs....
1. Scrambled eggs.
2. Original eggs with egg whites.
3. Southwest eggs.
Scrambled eggs is no longer available..
Scrambled eggs was the only WHEY egg choice so this is very limiting to those who try to limit their soy choices..
Also I believe the question is rather or not the recipes that called for Scrambled eggs will work with the original eggs with whites, or another product..
Hope that helps with the confusion..
