I just made the sloppy joes on my stovetop. It was good, although I feel like it was lacking a bit in flavor. I threw just a touch of sharp cheddar cheese on it, but it still needed something. I think (as with everything) it'll probably taste really good if I throw a tablespoon of Franks Buffalo Hot Wing Sauce in it after cooking..

I'm still loving the cookie, BTW, and the ORANGE DRINK is simply fantastic!!!!! I don't even want to modify the orange drink. It's great as-is!!!!!.

Funny, I find it too spicy, but I can't take anything spicy at all..

Steve, the orange drink gets even better (I know, WHAT?!?!) if you leave it mixed in the fridge overnight- it also turns the orange color that's on the box. Yummers..

I put 1/4 of canned tomatoes with green chili's in my sloppy joe. It definitely gives it a kick..

Love love LOVE spicy and hot! that type of food always makes me feel full and keeps me from craving anything for hours. I think that's why I love those types, because I feel more satisfied from them..

Make your sloppy joe per directions, add some hot sauce, a Laughing Cow light cheese wedge, nuke a bit longer. Use this as a filling in a 1/2 cup egg beater omelette. O.M.G. Heaven and oh so filling!!!.

I buy the generic brand. I have been looking at the carbs, and the store brands always seem to have less carbs than the name brands..

I agree, Rotel.... I put 1/2 cup in all my soups and the chili and joe. Helps with the flavor.

I had the sloppy joe today for the first time and really liked it as-is. I added a sprinkle of cheese and ate it using Medifast crackers as dippers. I thought this would be good wrapped in a lettuce leaf - a Medifast burrito!.

Unsolicited information not meant to sound preachy!: Canned tomatoes typically contain BPA (found in the lining of the cans). Tomatoes in glass jars are overall better for you..

How many carbs does BPA have?.

None... BPA stands for Bisphenol A. It's a toxic substance that has been linked to endocrine and neurological problems..

I know. I'm being silly. I got it. and I honestly do appreciate the recommendation for glass as opposed to metal cans!.

    But does it have carbs?.

I think BPA has zero calories / zero carbs, Carrie, so you can eat as much of it as you want!!!!.

Glass also is carb-free! Not sure about metal cans though. ;-).

OMG! I used to work with a guy who ate glass!!! I mean, just started taking bites out of the glass that his beer was in, and chewing it up and swallowing it!!! Saw it with my own eyes!!! Now of course, that was after having a few... wonder if he ever did it sober....

When I make my homemade marinara sauce I fill icecube trays and freeze...when they are frozen I put them in a ziploc bag in the freezer to add 2 cubes to my chili and now I add 2 cubes to my sloppy Joe..I count it as a condiment. I eat my sloppy Joe on the Medifast crackers...I literally scoop up the sloppy joe with the cracker...on those days that is my optional snack! The crackers make it heartier in general and a bit of fun to eat! LOVE it!!.
