Here's my new "non-food motivator". Its a 1988 BMW 325is I just got off of Craig's List for $1050. Now at that price you know it will have problems, but it's basically in good shape. I'm having a great time working on it so far. All the walking back and forth to the house getting tools has to be good exercise, right? Working under the dashboard has made me think I should look into Yoga. Not to mention the 2 hours I spent at the local "parts garden" looking for a new power antenna. That was at least a couple miles of walking anyway..

The idea is that while I'm working on the car, I'm working on myself. Success means both things will be more like they were in '88!.

    That's awesome! Good for you..

My husband recently bought a 1980 corvette off Craigslist for $1000 and is reshaping it into the Mach-5. Boys and their toys....

Great plan guy. Maybe if I find a 64 Buick Skylark convertible that can be my motivator..

Awesome! I dated a guy when I was in my early 20s who was into restoring older cars. I learned all kinds of cool stuff (no, seriously, I liked it!) like how to repack bearings (is that even spelled correctly?) and how to re-do brake lines. It was really fun. Young love...LOL!.

Cool, I'm trying to find a 4X4 to make an expedition/hunting/camping vehicle. Different, but engines and interiors are universal. Keep us posted. This is what a guys section should have!.

Thanks for the encouragement! Scored a blower motor for the heater & A/C for $15 at the local junkyard. The part goes for $300, so that's almost a month worth of Medi-Foods!.

@CajunFX4, nope it's regular gas. I'm not sure BMW made a diesel recently. I know Mercedes had a bunch of different ones. Also some awesome classics there..

@ Frank, thanks you expedition vehicle sounds great too. Lets hear more about it.

    Cheers,.

    Hi Bob,.

First, nice work with your intial weight loss..

Secondly, she's a beauty! Although 10 years newer my hubs just bought the '98 325, 2 door, standard and it is also sweet. It runs beautifully, although recently we had to wait a week for a part to come from Germany..

    Such classic, cool cars..

You are going to look so hot in your new slim body and wheels!!!.

    Happy, healthy 2012!.
