Week 1 done, down 11 pounds!!! Actually haven't felt hungry, but realized I should have ordered some warm foods..
I work out of my car all day, so I figured it would be too hard to find somewhere to heat up meals so it has been shakes, pudding, and bars for me. I guess I didn't think about the evening snack..
I am thinking of ordering some pancakes and tomato soup for waffles. Any other suggestions?.
I also am really missing something salty and crunchy. I tried the bbq bites but they tasted like some kind of mean-spirited medical experiment..
I really like the cinnamon & sugar pretzels. The honey mustard ones aren't bad either. I hate the bites. I think the best thing to do is order 1 or 2 single packs of an item before you commit to a box..
The brownies and soft bakes are a great evening snack too. I can't think of anything salty and crunchy, but the sloppy joes are really savory. You can always get some of their crackers for when you really need an extra snack..
One idea if you find yourself needing some extra lean at the end of the day make a "sausage biscuit" using a plain pancake made as a mug muffin, with a MSF sausage patty! It is one of my favorite "savory" meals! (and I'm bummed too, loved the old chili nacho cheese puffs, and my stockpile is slowly going away!!!!!).
Some people hate the hot chocolate and brownies but these are my favorite evening meals. Especially the hot chocolate. I add a little cinammon and vanilla and it tastes sinfully rich to me..
The new Cinnamon Pretzels are actually quite tasty. As for the BBQ bites I actually like them. The Cheese Pizza ones are also good for that salty crunchy craving that get at night as well. At first taste I did not like them either but after a few times they grew on me. Quite frankly just about all the food on this plan is like that. But you know what? Once you start losing the weight EVERYTHING tastes better because you are getting serious results, so I think we convince ourselves that this actually tastes good! I am convinced it is a "mind over matter" thing.
Definitely check the Recipe board. There are some real gems out there!.
I make the shakes using a bottle of water. I use Dasani, I drink about a third of the bottle first. Then tear a corner off the shake pack, pour it in and shake! Tastes just like the magic bullet..
