Good morning, all. I have been on Medifast since June and am, as of this morning, less than 15 lbs from goal. I was thinking about the differences a bit of weight makes in everyday life, and I thought I would share a few things that I won't miss about being 200lbs..

    1. I won't miss getting winded going up one single flight of stairs..

    2. I won't miss the way I felt after eating an entire pizza by myself..

    3. I won't miss almost being late to work because I had to change clothes numerous time.

To find something that still fit..

    4. I won't miss being constantly self-conscious of the way I looked and avoiding going out.

    Due to this..

    5. I won't miss pants/skirts with elastic waistbands..

    6. I won't miss being afraid to wear corduroy for fear of starting a fire in my pants!.

What won't you miss as you reach your goal? Not talking about the numbers on the scale...personal things that have affected you....

    1. Oh, the elastic waistband is a big one..

    2. Plus, I won't miss my big granny underwear..

    3. I won't miss sitting on the sidelines while my family is doing something fun..

    4. I won't miss that feeling I would get when I would see a fit-looking woman and feeling so envious and/or sad..

    5. I won't miss walking into a large-sized women's store for my clothing..

    6. I won't miss that awful feeling of seeing myself in a photo..

    OK, I'm getting bummed out!.

    1. I won't miss feeling 9 mo pregnant when I'm in the car (something about the positioning in the car seat and all my weight being in my stomach).

    2. I won't miss passing up cute clothes in the regular section because I know they'll never fit..

    3. I won't miss not being able to tighten the corset for my 18th century clothes (I'm a re-enactor) without passing out..

    4. I won't miss my thighs getting chafed and raw every summer from rubbing together..

Linda- I actually LIKE my granny underwear, but will be very happy to be in a regular size..

    I won't miss:.

-the insecurity I felt around men. And most people actually....

-having to shop in the big girl section or at LB stores (all of which are more expensive).

    -thigh chafing.

    -self-loathing from binges.

    -being ignored by men.

    -high grocery bills.

-being treated like a 2nd class citizen.

-being stared at by others like an animal in the zoo.

-seeing a 2 at the beginning of my weight.

    I won't miss:.

    Sweating all the time.

    Having to live on pecid.

Wondering if I'll fit into the booth at a restaurant.

Getting the "look" from passengers on a plane and especially the ones in your row.

Being invisible to the world and the opposite sex.

Eating to fill a void in my life.

    1. Being told I need to go to a speciality to store because my boobs are too big for any standard bra. I was a 42G and now I'm a very happy 36DD..

    2. Watching my friends try on and buy cute clothes while I sit in the dressing room with them and offer advice..

    3. All my clothes being too tight and making me look pregnant..

    4. I'll miss that desire to change and desperation. What will I obsess over once I'm at a healthy weight?.

    I won't miss.....

Avoiding social occassions for fear I might run into someone who hasn't seen me since I got fat..

    Running from cameras..

    Crying in the shower..

Not being able to cross my legs!.

    Oh yeah, granny panties too!!!.

I haven't been here a full week but I definitely won't miss that imprint on my belly from trying to squeeze into some jeans that should fit cause I refuse to buy anymore!.

I also won't miss that deer in head light look when my children ask me to go somewhere that I couldn't possibly wear scrubs to and I have to think...'what can I wear'...before I can answer whether or not they can go..

And I won't miss trying to hide my belly role in the car while my husband is driving!.

Wow - great lists - can't say i'll miss any of those things either.

What I will not miss -.

-That my jeans get lighter spots on the inside thigh area from the constant rubbing. Or that the fabric gets too thin right away..

-Having to shop off season at the specialty stores so I can afford the usually more expensive clothes..

-Playing photographer so I don't have to be in pictures - or hiding behind others to hide my body when I am in a picture. Cropping picture so they are almost head shots..

    -Weighing more than DH.

-Being told I have a pretty face, with an obvious omission of the rest of my body..

    I wont miss:.

Always wearing dark colors in an effort to look smaller.

Wearing long shirts to cover my belly.

Worrying about fitting in chairs with arms or restaurant booths.

Needing a seat belt extender on an airplane.

Getting that stupid Roaman's catalog in the mail EVERY DAY.

The Wii telling me "That's Obese!" in that happy little voice.

    Avoiding being in pictures.

Oh, and avoiding plastic chairs - I busted through one once so now I sit on the very edge. Needless to say, not real comfortable I hate those things!.

    Things I won't miss:.

Going through my entire closet to find something that fits.

Trying on endless clothes and hating them all.

Hiding from the camera and hating all pictures of me.

Dreading all family get togethers because I get weight comments or diet tips and diet recommendations from the inlaws.

    I won't miss:.

    - HOPING my butt fits into the airplane seat without spilling over to my poor neighbor.

    - Shopping only at plus size stores.

    - Not being able to cross my legs.

    - My double chin.

    - My 2 stomach rolls.

    - Feeling like I'm less than other women cuz of my weight (This is more in my head than on my body).

    - Being too tired to play tag with my daughter.

I'm sure there's more... But we should print these all out and put them on our fridge so that when we are making our Medifast and LG meals we are reminded of why we are doing this..

I still love elastic waist pants - makes it faster to pee. I have almost had an accident when I forgot I was wearing a zipper and snap pants and tried to get them off QUICKLY, and couldn't!.

    Awww....

I hear you on this one..

    I won't miss:.

Being self consious at parents night (how do those other moms look so amazing after three babies and look so put together?).

Wanting to crawl in bed and not get out just because I can't face people after losing and gaining for years...especially after losing 40lbs last year and then gaining 60. Don't even want to face my co-workers..

    Being tired all the time.

Shopping in the pluz size section.

Crying for no other reason than my reflection in the mirror.

My fat head - (the mental weight is harder for me than physical).

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read your post. I am a very full 38C. When I started at the Medifast center I was told the boobs would be first to go, like this would be a bad thing. I asked the nutritionist is she promised.

I'm tired of my button up shirts pulling open at my breasts..
