Anyone else get too ashamed of what they consumed in a day that they can't even bring themselves to log it on the calorie counter? I hate skipping days of logging in my points ,but it's so embarrassing

Eating too many carbs! Any advice on substitutes?/getting rid of carb intake in total?

Actually, that's what keeps me from eating it in the first place. I've decided that I will log EVERYthing, no matter what. If it's going to embarrass me to log it, it will help keep me in check. It helps if you send your food log/diary to an accountability partner. Worse when THEY see it, too... Good luck to you! One day at a time. :-)

Wow, this one can be tricky. I find that I if I eat some lean protein and lots of vegetables (with coconut oil or other good oil) for each meal (even breakfast) then my carb cravings disappear. For me, I need to remove simple carbs entirely. I find that the combination of some lean protein, plus the oil, seems to keep my body happy.

I would take about 30 mins to research carbs online. See what they are, and what they are in. This is my suggestion because then I mentally knew what I need to minimize in my intake. I was surprised that carrots were so high! Also, I was shocked about how many carbs were in "regular foods" that I thought were low carb/carb free

Definitely minimize consumption of carrots, potatoes, peas & onions....the highest carb veggies! Go with lettuce/spinach, cucumbers, cauli, broccoli, peppers for low to moderate carb content. Minimize your intake of natural sugars, too!

Carbs are a tricky beast...good ones and bad ones. Best bet is to do that research suggested above, and swap out your veggies accordingly. Also, I find that proteins and healthy fats (in lower amounts) help me feel fuller without that spike/crash effect that the bad carbs bring. Good luck!!
