Well, there is a bit of a disaster going on in that my fiance has made a delicious chocolate pie, but I was still pretty good last night. Plus we had a super healthy dinner (grilled pork tacos with fresh salsa, marinated cabbage, tomatoes, grilled onion and avocado). I'll just have to stick to my healthy soups today for meals since I'm having another piece of pie for breakfast.

I should really bite the bullet and create a "recipe" for my morning coffee. Putting in each element every day is getting ridiculous. Other than that, a good day yesterday! Walked 2 miles and stayed until on my calories.

My home scale seems to be flaking out. Any recommendations for something really good? (Getting married in the nearish future, so I'd like to toss one onto the registry.)

I wish I'd started logging body weight at the just-before-noon low of the day instead of the just-woke-up which is always higher, because now my loss chat is too steep but other than that, I'm super excited to be making weight loss goals exactly as planned.

Hi, I'm new to this site. You mention healthy soups, I have been living on soups since I started my dieting! Do you have any favorite recipes?

Hi, Diane! Welcome to the site! I'm slightly anemic, so we make a lot of soups that are really high in iron like vegetarian tuscan bean soup with kale (this without the sausage or the cheese rind: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Kale-and-White-Bean-Soup-106153). Or this one: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Corn-and-Crab-Chowder-241094 which has 227 calories/serving as is, but I use skim milk so it has less.

I have a Withings wifi scale. Expensive but worth it IMO.

The Withings is excellent... can't argue that. I bought the simple EatSmart digital and have been extremely happy with it. Pretty cheap on amazon. Don't bother with the body fat scales. Also, I really would recommend NOT putting the scale on your registry... not a wedding present I would buy!

I have the Withings one too. Definitely worth the spend.

Well maybe not you, GrizzledAtoms, but it seems appropriate with my family (we talk about weight and weightloss fairly openly). And of course, it is a recommended item in many checklists. I should have mentioned I have the inexpensive EatSmart scale. I'll check out the Withings wifi. Thanks!
