After about a year, I think it's time to say goodbye to SK. I've exceeded my goals and now I need to find a place that is better in supporting me at the next level... competing in endurance competitions and possibly begin doing some personal training. SK is a wonderful site and, I think, perfect for those who need to lose weight and get fit. Thanks everyone! It's been a blast! See you at the Tough Mudder start line!

Caught a bug the last few days so got slowed down a bit. I did get a decent workout yesterday shoveling a foot of snow off the driveway, though!

Oh my gosh, I had one of the hardest boxing circuit workouts I've had in over a year last night! Had one-on-one with the trainer and he did not let me stop for an hour. I was so exhausted at times I didn't think I would be able to get up off the mat. Feels great this morning, though!

Got all my goals set for next spring-summer-fall... 2 Warrior Dashes, a Tough Mudder, a 10k race, a half-marathon, a 40-mile mountain bike race and one sprint triathlon. If that doesn't keep me motivated through the winter, I don't know what will!

While my weekend was a bit out of control eating-wise, I made the gym 5 out of 5 days last week and see no reason why I won't go 5 for 5 this week! Boxing circuit last night was awesome!

Getting fit and losing weight has paid off! Just got back from a mission trip to El Salvador and not only did it go great but... I felt great! Worked in 100-degree heat and 70% humidity all day every day and didn't wear out. Went to bed tired but feeling good every night!

Events are what motivate me to keep working out so... got all my target events lined up for next year... 10K race in early June, Warrior Dash in late June, Tough Mudder in July, Half-Marathon in August and 40-mile mountain bike race in September.

Rode the Chequamegon Fat Tire Race on Saturday, a 40-mile mountain bike race. Was 46 minutes faster than my time 2 years ago!

Did the Warrior Dash yesterday! Don't know the final results yet but after 1500 racers went through, I was 131st. It was really fun!

Did a 6:38 mile today at circuit training. Improved by 27 seconds over a few months ago! I'm not a big runner but I'm pretty happy with that result and I think I can still improve.

Ya Baby, the body's getting a workout! 35 miles on the bike yesterday, 32 miles today, going skydiving on Friday and doing a half-marathon on Saturday! I think maybe I'll spend some time napping on Sunday.

Have surpassed my weight goal by 2 lbs. As a reward for reaching my long-term goal, I built a new road bike... took it on it's maiden voyage yesterday and am thrilled with its performance. Pretty happy with my performance as well! :-D

@GrizzledAtoms Thanks for the comment. I love Mud Runs! Glad to see you are into them. Last one I did was with fellow USMC wives and we beat the USAF mens team…we tried to be good sports about it but…:)

@Lesleighhhhhh You can send a message to someone just by going to their page and posting on their wall. That is what I did here. You will see it on your main SK page in the conversation but others will not. A message like this will show up as @Lesleighhhhhh.

@GrizzledAtoms Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Working on the Bible Study reminds me that the body I inhabit is His temple and I should treat it as such. Getting to a better state health wise is one way to do that. You are an inspiration...at the top of the leaderboard! Congrats on your successes so far.

Thanks for the kind words! It's been a tough 19 months but rewarding as well. I feel as you do... If I don't treat my body as a temple, I can't serve God, my family or others as effectively as I should. I get accolades for getting fit but, really, He deserves the glory!

I have the same "motivation" response. I tend to stay on track better when I have a deadline or a challenge. I'm new to this site, but love, love, LOVE the many different challenges out there that have real rewards (other than just the ones handed out). What a great way to improve your "healthstyle" one week at a time. I look forward to hearing how you did in the Tough Mudder. My fear of heights has me hesitating to sign up for it next year...
