There's are three types of people on this app: 1) people who want to lose weight. 2) people who want to gain weight. 3) and people who want to maintain a healthy weight after their weight loss/gain. Sometimes people don't know when to quit...

Just came back from camping for four days. I ate so little food and ate too many snacks. Tomorrow I'll see how much weight I've gained and I'll fast intermediately to get to my goal weight. We've also been hiking out of those two days. God bless the mountain view and wild life. It was beautiful. I loved it so much.

This is impossible. I ate so much last night. For sure I was going to gain weight. I'm scared that, that might change by the end of the day. I'm terrified to gain weight again. I worked just way too hard to get here. I'm so stupid and fat. I hate myself and this stupid, fat body.

Pickles have no carbs/calories etc. And they are delicious :3

    • img

      Sherine12260 days ago

Pickles aren't a good choice at all , especially if you're on a traditional , low-fat diet . Pickles absorb a lot of water inside your body and can make you gain weight very easily , so go slowly on them . First : you have to get yourself busy . because both boredom and emotional fits can get you to crave food when you don't really feel hungry .

    • img

      Sherine12260 days ago

Second : put some previously prepared salads in your fridge , like when you eat one , prepare another and put it there . It'l help you :) I also advise you to drink some good herbal beverages , as anise or chamomile after 6 . They are really nutritional and have zero calories , zero fats , unless you're gonna add some sugar . Best wishes :)

    • img

      mario_c2260 days ago

Lots of fresh fruit and veggies, snack style (carrots, mango slices, celery, grapes). Beware of an influx of sugar into your system, though.

Or, if you are in a hurry, just grab some celery. Celery is a great snack - light, water-packed, and very low calories.

    • img

      Jessel2260 days ago

I prefer the cabbage diet. It's amazing. Not just for weight loss and you're health, but it's so delicious too.

    • img

      Southernbelle20112260 days ago

Try adding more fiber throughout your day. You will be very full feeling so chances are you won't even want to snack after 6, but you don't have to go over your calorie limit. Nuts are a great option if you are trying to add fiber.

Always read the label on pickles....some contain high fructose corn syrup. For a healthy snack, definitely celery or handful of almonds. Most importantly....write out your goals & review regularly. I suggest my clients create an "Instead Of" list.."instead of" eating something bad, do "x". My list has an array of things: plan next week's meals, walk to x & back, do a quick chore, tidy up xroom, phone a friend, etc...

It's okay , it's not a competition . Weight loss is about patience and being constant , having will-power . Some people may lose a lot of weight then have only one drop and completely quit . Others may lose weight on a slow base for some time , but then they keep it all along . Best wishes for you , hold on and be strong :)

Why? Just curious to hear your reasoning. I find maybe once a week with a nutrient cleanse juice is great for weight loss as a program.... or maybe even once a month. I feel like every other day would put your body into stress. Not being rude, AT ALL, I promise you. I just want to know your perspective. I am always up to learn new things.

Nothing is more stressful than living in an unsatisfying body. Getting to my goal is more satisfying than food and life itself.

    • img

      Jessel2298 days ago

But advice for you, go on for three days to cleans your body from toxics. Drink loads of water(it's helpful for cleansing). Exercise the first and second day(rest for the third so you won't hurt your body). Once you start eating again the first few days, eat lightly(fruit, jello, soup, etc.). Keep in mind to burn every calorie you consume, it raises your metabolism. From then on keep a clean diet and follow this routine every two weeks. if you binge, just for one day, dont worry, you'll be fine.

    • img

      Riko2304 days ago

Let it go. One day of binging is not going to regain the weight you lost. Go back to eating reasonably, and exercising, and do not weigh yourself for at least a week. How your clothes fit you is a better gauge than the scale anyway. Don't beat yourself up. The next time you really want to BINGE, consider doing so with undressed salad or cruciferous vegetables.

    • img

      AngelEstep2304 days ago

Don't let your one day ruin the rest of your journey. We all fall off the wagon. The key is not how many times we fall, but rather how many times we get back up again. You can DO this!!!

We all have days like that, next time you feel like your going to go crazy and have a bad day, just remember how it makes you feel. I have now (took me a long time to be able to do this) but I will give in to my cravings, depending on what they are, but in moderation. Wanted chocolate covered pretzels the other day, dang store only had a larger package, bought it and ate just the serving size. Now I have them for those moments. You can do it!

    • img

      Jessel2311 days ago

No, don't worry!! Everyone's weight fluctuates! Once I was like so good and strict with my diet and I exercised at least an hour everyday for a week and at the end I had gained a pound and a half! Don't worry about it, just stay on track, don't look back, everyday is a new day

    • img

      BoosMommy2323 days ago

I always suggest to clients to weigh in weekly. Your weight fluctuates daily due to stress, sleep, water, etc. Save yourself the mental anguish, and put the scale away between weigh ins.

    • img

      Southernbelle20112323 days ago

It might be water weight. Your weight can fluctuate a lot during the day. Try weighing yourself once a week like BoosMommy said right after you wake up. Also, don't eat breakfast before you weigh yourself.

    • img

      Jessel2323 days ago

It always freaks me out when that happens to me too.

    • img

      Jessel2323 days ago

Yeah, it's horrible. Its difficult to lose weight, but easy to gain back.

    • img

      HannahBird2323 days ago

I weigh myself every day (I stopped for a few weeks and bad things happened.) You just have to keep in mind that weight fluctuates like Gracebh said. Ways to avoid emotional pain include plotting your weight (slimkicker is good for this) or calculating a rolling average. Average your last four/three days every day. I'm sure there are other ways too. Or weigh yourself weekly, that seems to be the most recommended method if you don't require daily feedback.

    • img

      Jessel2323 days ago

It's just one of those bad habits to get up in the morning and step onto the scale. Thank you for the advice. If weekly is the best, then weekly it is.
