Definitely needing some motivation today. Really don't feel like going to zumba this morning but I got up and put my workout clothes on anyway. Now breakfast & coffee and I have to make sure I get my butt out the door before I change my mind.

Loving that the Trader Joe's salads are already logged on here for me. Been trying to get back into bringing those for lunch. Need to keep an eye on some of the calories but for the most part they make a great super convenient lunch.

Been eating really well lately so allowed myself a little "treat" of a cheesy appetizer at my fav restaurant. I regretted it so much last night when I was trying to sleep sitting upright from indigestion. It's like my body won't even allow me to eat junk anymore. I just need to get that message across BEFORE I eat it :/
I was bored at home yesterday and instead of sitting on my butt watching TV for no reason, I did about an hour of fitness dance videos from the On Demand menu on cable. I was pretty proud of myself!
back on the wagon today. Had a rough week of 9-11 hour work days last week so back to normal now. I'm kind of proud to say I actually missed going to gym classes and I'm totally looking forward to zumba today.
Wow. Just finished the "no fast food for a month" challenge. Didn't think I could do that one without a struggle but it was actually pretty easy.
Really not on it this week. Worked Sunday for a few hours, then 11 straight hours on Monday so missed my zumba class. Was too tired yesterday to do much so hoping to get back on track. Might be due for a break this week anyway.
Went to the Giants game with my dad today so completely blew the diet but we walked about 4 miles around downtown before & after the game so it wasn't a total loss. Working from home tomorrow (yes on Sunday) and then back to Zumba on Monday. This being motivated thing is kind of nice.
Wasn't real great on the diet this week but I walked 4 miles Monday (instead of zumba) and did a pretty kick-ass step-toning class last night. Planning a long walk around SF tomorrow with my dad so I'm doing pretty good on activity. Down another lb this morning so must be doing something right :)
Was having a bad day so recruited a buddy to go for a long walk. Did almost 4 miles but totally forgot the sunblock. Gonna regret it tomorrow.
I swear the world is just after me the past week. Might try for a couple extra gym days this week just to shake off the bad mojo!
Pinched nerve in my back is flaring up again. Really hope it's not going to keep me from zumba tonight. Looks like it's back to the chiropractor tomorrow. :/
feeling mixed motivation today. I know I should take the dog out for a quick 3 miles but I really wanted to go down to SF and walk from downtown to GG park - it's only about 5 miles. Always a bummer when no one is around to go with you when you get a wild hare up your butt :)
Owww! Went to a step & tone class last night when I missed half of my regular Zumba class. It was an awesome workout but man I'm sore. At least it's Friday so I have the whole weekend to recover.
Not the best food day but missed the first half hour of Zumba (nail appt reward from level 4 ran long) so did the second half of Zumba then did over an hour of the step aerobics class that comes after. I think I found my new Thursday schedule.
Made some crazy good meatloaf for dinner. Used half the usual amount of meat and filled it up with super fine diced zucchini, onion, carrot and mushroom. It was amazing!
Last night I really wanted some cookies so my hubby threw some cookie dough in the oven. While I was waiting I ate a couple of strawberries and by the time the cookies were done, I didn't want them anymore.
I'm loving replacing mayo with ripe avocado! Yum!
Yesterday I almost gave in to McD's but I'm doing the no fast food for 30 days challenge so even though I was STARVING I sucked it up and walked by without ordering. Then went home, had a boiled egg for a snack and went to zumba. That was rough!

I had that problem a couple of weeks ago. Tried to eat wings and it definitely did not agree with me later. I guess it's a good thing though! I'm sure you'll remember it next time! I know I did.

you're probably right in taking a break after an 11 hour workday. Overdoing it can lead to getting sick and then you miss even more and feel like you're completely starting over when you finally feel better. Just always keep fitness in mind that as soon as you're ready you'll get right back on it (which I think is what you're doing).
Way to go on the exercise front! And you've still got part of the week left to make inroads on the better eating front...you can do it!

Exactly what do you do with the avocado? Smash it and put it on your bun? I might try it :)
Yep - just has to be a really ripe one. Like one you'd make guacamole with. Avocados have about half the cal's per tablespoon as mayo and it's all good fat. I probably eat 2-3 per week. Can't get enough. Just smoosh it all up til it's smooth and use it like mayo. If you're going to smoosh enough for a few days (I can never let them sit that long) squeeze in a little bit of lemon or lime juice to keep it from turning brown.

Oh my gosh, that's a great idea!! I've never been a huge fan of mayo, but being a vegan sometimes leaves some of my sandwiches a little dry.
