Just remember that it happens. Worst case scenario, you gained a little. Take some time to eat good, healthy foods and drink lots of water and work out a little bit. Life happens, but it's never irreversable.

If you did, learn from your mistake. Take note of what you had changed that lead to this, and make an attempt not to do it in the future! Either way, you're beautiful just the way you are <3

    • img

      AngelEstep2690 days ago

Honestly, this happens to everyone once or twice on their journey to healthy. Maybe DON'T check the scale... Maybe just write it off as done, make the decision to turn it back around starting now, and weigh yourself again in a few days or a week once you've been back on track a little. Keep you from getting down on yourself.

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2690 days ago

Well... I've only gained 1 lb. back but it's a new day & I'm keeping better track of my food intake! :)

I find the 100 cal packs are good only cause there's no thinking involved lol.. They have a chocolate Oreo bar here that's so yummy it's hard to believe the cal count. It always seems to do the trick for me. The other thing I find is (skim milk) pudding or frozen yogurt. Good luck!

Even better is like 1 oz of dark chocolate. If you can eat small amounts, it is a great treat because it doesn't count for that much.

When I'm craving dessert - especially ice cream - I find that having a tablespoon of unsweetened nut butter (peanut or tree nut) satisfies my craving without giving me too many carbs before bed. Hope this is helpful!

    • img

      Southernbelle20112697 days ago

Have you tried nondairy icecreams? I discovered them because I'm lactose intolerant, but I found that they are a lot better for you than regular icecream. It's definitely still dessert, but it won't kill your diet as much.

    • img

      wahiiba2697 days ago

I just try and have a smaller serve a least, still better than nothing :)

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2697 days ago

@TeresaM I will have to try that. :) Thanks! @Southernbelle2011 No, I have not tried nondairy ice cream. Do they taste good? @Wahiiba True! Not very good for the diet though, I looked up the nutrition for a Baskin Robins banana split and it has more calories in one serving than Im supposed to have in one whole day! No bueno!

I never worry about those measures, as long as your total calories are under you'll be ok

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2703 days ago

I never used to either but now I do.

    • img

      ectoBiologist2703 days ago

Look back at your food log and figure out where the excess carbs/protein came from. If it was just one food, consider halving that portion next time or finding something else to eat. And don't hesitate to get a good portion of your calories from fats -- they will help curb your hunger very effectively.

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2703 days ago

It's not just one food, it accumulates throughout the day. My limit according to this site is 89 carbs.

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2703 days ago

      Actually, 81 carbs.

    • img

      TeresaM2703 days ago

You're probably trying to too low-fat diet, this site assumes some balance in terms of eating healthy fats. It's not all about total calories. try your best to keep your carbs low, protein is OK to be up a little bit. Add things like nuts, avocado, olive oil, fish to your diet to add the healthy fats.

    • img

I don't think one meal would hurt... Lol. Plus you have to splurge every once in awhile right? ;)

    • img

      wahiiba2703 days ago

Exactly, and it's definitely true that one meal can't make the difference; they say if you do well 80% of the time, the other 20% won't matter

    • img

      GrizzledAtoms2703 days ago

It all depends on your ability to stay the course. For some people, certain kinds of food is almost like a drug and you have to simply stay away. If this isn't the case, then go for it! That's what rewards are for.

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2703 days ago

No, I'm very good with discipline on my food. I have no problem with staying on course. :)

    • img

      katematic2707 days ago

i only have one full sized portion of carbs a day and keep it to a reasonable size like a small bowl of porridge in the morning with fruit. I always focus my meals around a good source of protein and a variety of veg, then think of carbs last and keep them minimal. I've totally banned white products because they are usually pure carbs and most (bread, rice, sugar) are bleached and bad for you anyway. x

    • img

      MikhaelaBryden2707 days ago

Okay, thank you so much! Ill keep that in mind when planning my meals :D
