    I'm baaaaaack! Got overwhelmed at work, couldn't stay committed to this site so was absent for a while. Gained a few pounds BUT the good news is I now have a treadmill and I'm re-focused to losing the weight for good!

    Was horrible this weekend...ate birthday cake, fried shrimp, frozen fruity drinks, milk duds and chips. On a good note, had a blast with my boys at Islands of Adventure and watching the The Dark Knight Rises

    Went out of town to visit family-ate HORRIBLY! Had cupcakes, fast food, a Mocha Frappe (heaven in a cup, hell on the thighs!) Back home now and getting back on track! But it was a great weekend :)

    Hmmmm, I'm PMS'ng so I'm cranky, gained 8 sticks of butter (and not the fun way as in drizzled all over popcorn!) plus I want to eat anything that is not nailed down....I need to find some serious self control!

    Went to the movies last night and DID NOT get a snack! :) Didn't even miss it...Might have been because the movie was Magic Mike tho....Had quite a large serving of eye candy :)

    Took the boys to the zoo yesterday. Completely blew my diet by getting a cheeseburger and fries but figured the walking helped offset it. Tried to make better choices at dinner, but was at a friends 40thies birthday party...not many options :) Back ontrack today plus I leveled up! Life is good

    By logging my food for a week now, I have noticed I eat a low fat-low cholesterol diet, however, I eat lots of carbs & sugars. Looking for ways to do better!

    Tried getting my calories from protein sources this weekend. Totally blew my cholestoral (sp) at breakfast with eggs. Fell off the wagon when i took my boys ot the movies, I had Milk Duds. Delicious, but I didn't eat the whole box! That's a first for me! Went to the grocery store. Eating healthy is very expensive! I long long term it's better with health benefits, etc. but dang! It eats up my money (no pun intended) quickly!

    Somebody brought a box of cupcakes to the office...not just a box of grocery store cupcakes, a box of custom bakery decadence. So far I have said no. I keep telling myself that no cupcake will taste as good as getting back into my 'skinny' pants will feel...sooooooo deep breath! No No No No No No No...(I think I gained a pound by just looking at them, tho!)

    I'm new to the site...logging my food has opened my eyes to why I've failed to lose weight in the past...seems I make decent choices, low fat, low calorie but I've busted my carb & sugar allowance daily! Hand slap to the forehead! Now I'm trying to find filling food that's low carb & sugar! Any suggestions?

I read your last post and that sooo sounds like me, I always have the best intentions, but often when it comes to it, I just cba, or I put it off til "later" which never comes. Hopefully we can help keep each other on track and give a boost back onto the wagon when needed! Looking forward to getting to know you =]

      I think it's easy to overdo it at the weekends cause you want to let your hair down and relax. I did okay over the weekend because I was at work, but I struggled to get motivated today and had a lie in and lounged about the house =S Got a walk in with my brother, so better than nothing I suppose =] How did you do today?

      Sometimes you just have to splurge! Just remember that toning and losing weight isn't your only goal: you're also building a lifestyle of health that will change what you consider to be a treat and an indulgence! Altering your sweet tooth to appreciate little things is part of this. I'm preaching to myself here ;)

      Thanks! I will admit, I was trying to make better choices...I didn't go buck wild on the snacks, I only had 2 slices of pizza, no cake but did have cupcakes (normally I would have had a bit of everything!) So the changes have started forming...like a plant growing budding flowers! :0

      I will just sit here and sing the " It's good to be a man song" and hope my taunting will give you the motivation to show me you can do anything!!! P.S. I live with 3 women and there are certain days I choose to stay at work rather than come home ;)

      Don't worry it will go again - it's just period weight, happens to us all! I'd try eating something satisfying that's healthy (like a good stirfry) so that you don't feel tempted by the naughties. I find I need more carbs around that time - it actually helps reduce pain for me. So cut yourself some slack and be kind to yourself (you're already going through enough), just do it in a way to make sure don't go calorie crazy!

      We went Saturday night and I allowed myself a Hershey's Special Dark and a bottle of juice that I snuck in, in my purse. It was a night of splurges and I'm sure much more healthy then the bucket of popcorn that would have been consumed otherwise. Actually the popcorn did not even smell good to me! :)

      I was actually a little dissapointed as well...although I was greatly impressed with Channing's dancing-didn't know he could move like that! What a hottie-so feel like a cougar! lol But the acting was 'eh and the storyline dragged as well. BUt Channing was hot...and of course, Matthew. Oh, and the dude from True Blood. LOL

      Congratulations! Sadly, that sounds good drizzled over popcorn to me. :) Now if you could give me a visual in whale blubber or bovine parts I might be more repulsed and less excited about popcorn. Even pork fat is yummy if it's fried crisp, so don't go there either. Really, Congratulations!! 4 pounds doesn't always sound like a lot but when you say 16 sticks it really gives a good comparison. Have you tracked your inches? Cause 4 lbs = lots of inches too! Happy Friday!

      Steamed vegetables with a teaspoon of butter I find so delicious that I am not on the mooch for carbohydrates. If away from home, take an ounce of almonds in case of emergency (e.g. when everyone else is eating cake), Jo

      Don't worry too much about the dietary cholesterol in eggs - eggs are amazing for you, and dietary cholesterol is not what affects blood cholesterol - http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/fats-and-cholesterol/

      Healthy food can be cheaper if you cook it all yourself. Dried beans are very inexpensive and a small bag goes a long away!

      Nuts and seeds are always a good choice, especially Diamond Cocoa Roasted Almonds. Those are going to be your best friends when you get a sugar craving.

      First rule if it taste good spit it out!!! Just kidding do a little experimenting, I am eating more fruit than I ever knew there was. I thought bananas only went on cereal or in bread. I have a boiled egg and a protein drink for breakfast and if something happens to make me have something else I really miss it. Just seeing it on that graph made me want to change. Good luck!

      Vegetables. Having them cleaned and cut up ready to go in the fridge makes it so much easier to make better choices really fast. If you have a sweet tooth, go for some fruits and have them ready as well.
