I'm actually sticking to a consistent exercise routine now! I haven't been on SK for a long time, but I'm definitely making progress with my physical goals. I need to bring snacking and sweets under control though, as well as portions. What are your "weak spots"?

Forget cereal for breakfast! Try a pile if leftover sloppy joe meat, Mexican brown rice and beans, with an egg on top!

I'm back from a couple weeks of vacation, during which time I paid little attention to what I ate and got very little exercise. Back on SK now, though!

I am very goal-oriented, but much of the time I don't stop to breathe between goals. In fact, I was ignoring the "my next reward" part of SlimKicker and just going on to the next level. Now I'm realizing that this IS NOT healthy. If you're like me, read this: http://www.thefrugalpreneur.com/2012/05/01/your-brain-needs-cake/

      The Britophile2483 days ago

I can identify with all of those! It's snacking how much our eating habits are determined by external factors.

    • img

      Southernbelle20112483 days ago

Snacks. I get REALLY hungry right around 3:00. I got a solution for portion control. I found a plate measuring tool on amazon. You put it on your plate, fill the little sections, and take it away. It has the portion size you are supposed to be eating for starches, veggies, fruit, and meat. It's supposed to help train your brain about what a correct portion is.

      Thanks for the suggestion, Southernbelle!

I have exactly the same weaknesses as u snacking and sweets. I lift weights 2 times a week, yoga 5 times a week and I run 5 miles 5 times a week but the sweets and the snacking r preventing me from dropping my last few pounds. This week i finally dropped the sweets and i already feel better. Best of luck to u.

I don't know of a way to remove points. You could try emailing the administrators. Or you could try to continue on your own to complete the days you didn't participate. Good motivation to be honest and earn it, since you are sharing with us. What ever - don't beat yourself up. :)

    • img

      Moxie122684 days ago

I talked to admin about this once, since I was going on holiday and knew that I probably wouldn't be able to follow my challenge and I was almost through a 30 day one (didn't want to quit and start over). They suggested that I continue after the challenge to fill in the days I missed. And actually, these challenges are for our sake - to learn new habits. Find a way to make it up, I say.

You are so right. I was just sitting feeling sorry for myself right at the start of Level 5, and Level 6 so far .............far ...............away. Of course a bright reward would help me - and. the longer it takes, the longer I can anticipate and appreciate my bright reward. In fact, it is fun just thinking up a bright reward, while I walk, or awake in the middle of the night, Jo

I say mark them, you should get the points for exercising

    • img

      Cate77942763 days ago

If a knee pressup makes you sweat and is hard work then defiantly :) I would suggest then just letting yourself down slowly in the normal pressup postion to build up your strength some more so you can do a normal one. I was like you a month and a half ago and I can now do 10 so stick at it

    • img

      ZomboidHell2763 days ago

count them, 2 months ago I could only do 5 or 6 regular pushups , now I am doing 7 or 8 close hand pushups . It just takes a little time and effort ... exercise is relative to different people. If your working then it counts.
