    How long do plateaus last? I am going on week two. This week I incorporated weights to try and fight it. Before I was only kickboxing 4 days a week. I added weights total body 2x a week. But not sure if my diet is sabotaging me. What does a typical day look like for those that continue to lose??

    I have hit a plateau. How do I counter this? More cardio? Weights? I currently do 60 mins of lite kickboxing 4 times a week. I occationally run once a week for 45 mins.

    my goalthis past week was to lose at least 1.4 lbs. I wanted to be at an even 15 lb lost. I made it to 16 lbs lost instead. Due to the two day bonus, i am already at level 6.5 and soon to make 7. Yay!!!!

      I actually up my cardio and water intake. If nothing else a bath with epsonsalt to cleanse my body that really helps during a plateau.

      Detoxing helps, look for a detox tea and or green tea. Also, surprise your body with different fruits and veggies as well as a little extra protein. If you are too exhausted from working out your body may not want to let go of anything due to fatigue.

      Yep, change up the diet. Also, if you are adding strength routines, keep in mind that building muscle can offset some fat loss. You may not lose weight but you'll lose inches instead!

      I did a body analysis. After two weeks of a plateau, I lost a 1/5 a lb of fat and I gained 1 lb of muscle. I am gaining muscle while my weight is staying constant. I may have given up without your support! Thanks for the pep talks.

      Change it up. Try a different type of workout for awhile, and do something different with your diet. If you haven't tried going gluten or grain-free yet, or would like to give paleo a try, do a two-week trial and see if it gets you out of the rut. You could also try a new SK challenge, like the No Sugar challenge to give yourself a boost. Good luck!

      Weight training. Having more lean muscle mass in your body speeds up your metabolism.
