Tomorrow I'm co-leading my high school's debate club meeting, as in co-founder. However, starting this week I'm gonna try and eat VERY healthy, and the other leader always brings unhealthy snacks!!! Suggestions on how to avoid eating them?? HELP

I wish that there was a way we could make little profiles- nothing too complicated, but just a way to share a bit of who we are and our goals, get to know each other a little better. What do y'all think?

For a while now, when I don't have homework and I'm at home, I just laze around and watch a kdrama with Park Shin Hye, bemoan the fact that I don't have her figure (she's gorgeous!!), and then go get some food and finish up the episode... Determined to change that :) sooo... lately I've been watching them on the treadmill! It's a step in the right direction :)

My thoughts? No fad diets. You'll just gain the weight back when you stop. One of Jillian Michaels' recent podcasts was about this.
The only reason I'm gonna try it is because it isn't one of those fad diets that is really bad for you. It's basically just portion control; eat whatever you want, just in moderation.
it sounds like it's just about making sure that you get a balanced meal. I think it's honestly not that different from the gov's myplate nutrition guidelines... I hadn't heard of it before but it sounds like a smart way to control your portion sizes and get a healthy meal. (as long as what you put in the cups is healthy!)
@miaz exactly! And the nine muses are singers and dancers who need a lot of fuel to power their busy days; if they can do it, so can I :)
Can u do this for the rest of your life? If not you r wasting your time. And energy and will probably gain the weight back and then some there are no quick fixes

Nicely said! I can't believe some of the junk I've been passing up. I work in a kitchen so it's hard sometimes.
I know!!!!!! Junk is great when you can't have it. I let myself have a little taste, and I realized it didn't taste as good as I thought it did. I only thought it was delicious because I couldn't have it.
I'm doing it and just started level 2. I love that each workout is only 20 minutes, so I have no excuse not to do it! Good luck. Just stick with it!

You could do a story about ruth or Esther. Debra is another really cool lady from the Bible. I think it was Rahab that was the prostitute that God used. you could also talk about Naomi. Abigail was the wife of the guy who pissed king David off, and she ended up saving her whole family from being killed. Priscilla was another neat lady from the Bible.
cdaily- My group of facebook group inspires me. i met this group 8 months ago. We share recipes, workouts, we motivate, inspire and keep each other accountable. I had a friend ask me to write an exerpt for this book on staying positive. Agreed! You have willpower sometimes it's just harder than other times to make good choices! If you fell off that's ok! You can make a great food choice next meal or snack! You can do this! Try your best to stay positive even though I know it's hard :) GL

1. Don't go hungry!
2. Decide you won't eat them. There's a big difference between wanting not to and deciding not to - very much a mental game! You will feel really good about yourself when you just say no and bad if you don't (probably) - keep that in mind as well!
3. Give someone there a $20 bill and tell them not to give it back to you if they see you eating anything! ;)
4. Bring your own healthy snacks!

You could write down a small reward for yourself and keep it in your purse. When you feel the need to eat the snacks, look at the reward instead.
