I'm not sure what it is, but today I feel light and energetic, even though it's raining and miserable outside and I had to walk two miles in it! It's brilliant and I'm sure it's a result of this new healthy lifestyle. Thanks to you all!

I've been doing the 10 wall squats a day challenge, and I woke up in the middle of the night with a cramp in my quadricep; that's a first! It was easy to stretch out in a second and made me feel like this stuff must really be having an effect!

I started all of this because of my cholesterol results - now almost two months in to the SlimKicker program I got another blood test and I have increased the good cholesterol, HDL, by about 40% - that is incredible! It's gone from 48 mg/dl to 67! I'm delighted! :-D Thank you SlimKicker, you have changed my health!

Last week when I hit level 6 an info box popped up and told me my rank on this site... When I hit level 7 I closed the box on autopilot without reading what it said... does anyone know how to access that info again? It's yet another target to beat!

I did an 8-5 games day with local school kids in the park yesterday and didn't break the diet, although I needed loads more energy than usual. I got this with a carrot, a grapefruit, half an apple, lots of nuts, and the rest was my usual healthy diet. But my sugar stats went way red. Does Slimkicker allow one to account for such exercise to check that the red amount is appropriate? I would have fainted with exhaustion without it!

Hi Admin! I'm happy to post about this site on Facebook as your app requested from me, but I don't want it or anyone to be able to post on my behalf... remove that feature and I'm in, praising Slimkicker whenever I complete a challenge, level up, etc. I love this site and I want it to succeed but I don't want that awful app crap! Does it have to be all or nothing? :-)

I went out for dinner with my boyfriend tonight and watched him eat ice cream and didn't have any dessert myself. If you knew my relationship with ice cream you'd understand that this is truly inspirational for me! Still, I was full and I knew I didn't 'need' more food and in the end I got a kick out of the sense of achievement! :-)

@doctorgabi Had the last aojiru blueberry pancake for breakfast today (only 10 carbs!), and in logging it, recieved this message: "Think pancakes are a thing of the past? Grab your favorite recipe and replace the flour with almond meal. Slather them in butter and drizzle on some pure maple syrup." Maybe I'm wrong...but, slathering butter on anything, surely, that can't be healthy.

I agree - I feel like this site can be a bit black and white - sugar = bad, fat = good. I can't believe that can be right. Like can I have fried chicken and mayo but not an orange?

      tanuki2693 days ago

I know!! Sometimes you log some karaage and you get +12 for having a healthy source of protein (despite the oil still dripping from your fingers). Perhaps they are using data from the USDA?

@doctorgabi Doh! I drove to work in the beautiful sunshine this morning cuz I was lazy, and then drove on my lunch break and now, with the heavy rain, I probably won't be able to walk for a few days. ARGH! Must find indoor exercises! PS - congrats on Level 10! You BEAST!

Don't revert! Keep fighting the good fight! (Is that the correct usage of that phrase...?) PS - how can I get started with yoga? I think it'll be a good rainy season exercise.

Hey there, well, I didn't really have a goal weight, I set the levels to lose nothing but my weight fell anyway, then when it reversed I freaked out! I just wanted to be really healthy and in particular I wanted to fix my cholesterol problem which I'm well on the way to doing. Still, in my mind I'd like to lose another 3.5 kg... :-D

    • img

      doctorgabi2719 days ago

Yeah, so far my plan has been to do normal things but with exercise, so that it's not an issue about finding the time for something new or going to a gym (there isn't one where I live anyway). Plus I'm doing what exercises I can fit into the day in my own house too. That's the best part actually, as you don't need to add an extra hour on the getting there and back journey, or pay any money either! :-)

If the diet is clean and compliant as we know then hell yea it must be muscle :) You rocking it out like that :) I started a "new lifestyle" wow its really working though advice that one shouldn't weight too often i had to check yesterday.Down 3kgs baby. So im feeling fabulous currently :)

Wow, no I hadn't heard of that but I just Googled it and it looks really interesting... I'll think about trying that if this doesn't turn around with more exercise... especially as it has the magic words pizza and ice-cream! ;-)

    • img

      doctorgabi2721 days ago

Wow, well done! So am I right in thinking it's like an 'anything goes day' followed by a fat day (something to do with increasing leptin levels) then three other days involving low carbs etc, so it's a five-day cycle that repeats for a few weeks?

    • img

      Leah2721 days ago

    • img

      GrizzledAtoms2725 days ago

Are you eating a good, decent sized breakfast every day? How many meals are you eating a day? I'm no expert but I know that you have to get your metabolic rate going early in the day. Also, have you tried changing up your exercise routines as well?

    • img

      doctorgabi2725 days ago

Yeah, I've been having a big bowl of unsweetened oatmeal with water and soymilk, nuts, cinnamon, sesame seeds and sometimes dried fruit. Delicious and keeps me going for hours. Plus good for my health of course! Maybe I should try to change my exercise more because I've pretty much got my diet where I want it (apart from the absence of pizza and ice-cream!). Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try something new! :-D

  • img

    doctorgabi 2725 days ago

I'm certainly no expert, but are you exercising more? Perhaps you're gaining some muscle, which weighs more than fat.

    • img

      doctorgabi2725 days ago

I am indeed, but could that account for so much? I'm no expert either! I've been doing an hour of yoga at least 5 days a week... Thanks for trying to cheer me up though, much appreciated! :-D

    • img

      kac0382725 days ago

Muscle gain can totally account for a kilogram, it happened to me! In another week or so the scale should start going down again, and with more muscle the weight should come off that much easier :)

Oh, thank you so much! That should give me the motivation to continue! You're the best! :-D
