Just some advice needed - I'm a huge chocolate fan.. I mean huge to the point I could be addicted. One very seriously bad habit. Could there be any health issue with going cold turkey in the new year? I'm a little concerned about blood sugar levels.. Any suggestions on what to replace chocolate with?

Is there anyone on here not losing weight but just to monitor and keep track?

Chocolate has caffeine, so you may have some issues with headaches from caffeine withdrawal. Might help to temporarily up your coffee/tea intake and then work your way down.

Another tactic is to wean yourself off gradually by switching to darker chocolates. I've worked up to only having high-quality 70% cacao or higher. It's nowhere near as sweet, and a little bit goes a long way. With milk chocolate it's easy to eat a whole bar. With this stuff, you can savor one little square and not go away wanting a lot more. There are some health benefits to chocolate, if you can get away from the high-sugar empty-calorie versions.

I had the same issue, and found two dessert solutions that didn't bust my diet. There are these things called skinny crisp cookies, and there is a recipe on healthbent.com that is a great low sugar low carb chocolate cupcake recipe. Both are actually pretty good for you, too! :)

btw, the skinny crisps are a mix, not a pre made cookie.

I would recommend something like Atkins bars. They have only one gram of sugar and they have chocolate flavors and they are not bad for you. They are also a good source for protein.

I am! I am down to a size I like, but this sight is great for continuing those healthy eating habits, staying honest to keep the weight off, and keeping track of exercise. Plus, I have allergies, so it makes me pay attention to the foods I eat for that to. :)

For the most part, I am now in maintenance and 'greater fitness' mode. I got beyond my weight goal and am feeling pretty fit so I'm mostly here to track what I eat and stay motivated and continue to up my fitness level. I did gain a few pounds back so I have a few to lose but that's just the ups and downs of the season for me.

That's me! I used to be on SlimKicker, then got out of it, but am trying to keep better track of my diet and exercise now.

I'm in maintenance mode right now. Like GrizzledAtoms said, SK is good for tracking your food, keeping with your exercise and staying motivated, regardless of your goals. Also I think it's good to keep SK as a "habit," which should make it easier to go for new goals vs. starting up cold.

Same with me as with Britophile (hey lady!). I just keep watch on my food to see if my cravings are balanced throughout each day.
