    Yes! Level 7!! And healthier eating habits feel totally natural now, and much better ingrained in my daily cravings! Also, haven't smoked a cigarette in the 23 days I've been on this site!

    Didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped this week. I'm stepping it up into high gear for the next 30 days. All my challenges are a lot longer now, and require more sustained and consistent effort. Learned some important lessons about relapsing and taking it too easy in my second week. Here we go again: back to the grind.

    whenever i open a bag of something, i always eat it all...conclusion: don't eat food out of bags. :-/ i guess i overdosed on dry-roasted edamame.

    Gobo restaurant in NYC: interesting vegan creations, but way too heavy on the sauce! I didn't realise seitan is just straight up wheat gluten (I thought it was made of soy!!) and I made myself really sick. I think I might have screwed up my week's tight diet....I never know what to log when I go out for dinner. Fasting for the rest of the day, and flushing that out my system with lots of water.

    Joined slim kicker today. It inspired me to run 3 miles on the treadmill this morning, and think seriously about how to get my life back on track. Joined Back On My Feet NYC (www.backonmyfeet.org), which helps the homeless get back on track with their lives, through running and "fund racing." Determined to get back on my feet myself, and complete this semester.

      cool, i've been trying to play for a few years too, but i don't seem to be getting any better - always the same few chords. how did you push yourself to progress? i'd really like to get better at guitar. what are some of your favorite songs to play?

      One big thing that pushed me was that i had a lot of musical friends and family members. So i wanted to part of that group so i practiced more and more. I basically would sit down and looked up the tabs or chords to songs i wanted to learn and try to learn them. that's a good way to learn more chords. I play tons of different songs from The Beatles to Jay Z. I really enjoy playing more folk like Mumford and son's and Old Crow Medicine Show.

      I'm near DC. I made it myself, thanks! It's a red dance unitard with stretch-vinyl-style pant legs pinned on, a bikini bottom and stretch gauntlets (the emblem is cut and glued from colored felt). Looks and feels a heck of a lot better than a crappy plastic pre-fab costume. :-D

      Cool, I do a bit of amateur photography as well, and somehow managed to destroy the body of my Canon rebel while slamming into the door of a taxi cab, on my bicycle. (Long story - some lady came out the cab unexpectedly, and the door whammed into my face. Actually, it's a pretty short story.) Anyways, Nikon's are GREAT! I was debating whether to get another Canon T3i body or switch over to Nikon, but the lenses aren't convertible...So, are you training for the Warrior Dash?

      Yep, the Warrior Dash is one of my goals that I'm training for this summer and fall. I want to drop the weight and get back in shape for a half-marathon, a 14-day backpacking trip in the Colorado Rockies, the Warrior Dash and a 41-mile mountain bike race. Signing up for events seems to motivate me more than anything.

      I just started, after reading the blog posts on intermittent fasting on SlimKicker. I can't tell if it works yet... I tend to lose a pound or two right away on the days that I fast, but gain it right back the next day. It's a rhythm I'm still trying to get used to.
