    I have been away from this site for a few weeks. Honestly...lack of motivation. No excuses just the truth. I am back and trying to build my motivation. I did get on the scale last week and was down 4 lbs despite my slip ups. So I need to get back at it so I can see even better results. Oh and I have been in a cast on my leg for a few weeks, so no real exercise.

    Read that posture is extremely important while working out on treadmill. Article said straight back, small steps and no holding on. Make sure you are doing it right.

    Even with setbacks, one should never give up. I had a little setback today. I realize that I either need a bigger lunch or healthy snacks to tie me over until dinner time. If not, I will snack on anything because I am HUNGRY!!! A lesson was learned. Inspiration is knowing that you can only fail if you give up. That I will not do. Plus hubby said I look like I lost some weight. :)

    I recently cut down on processed foods. I havent been to burger joints and most other fast food restaurants in about 2 months. I did go to Jason's Deli twice and once to Chick fila. I am getting there!!

      It's too bad there aren't loose heart rate bands attached to treadmills rather than needing to hold on to the bar for those treadmill programs that require heart rate. It seems like that would help more.

      It's hard, but we learn best from mistakes! Try snacking on veggies, or adding a lot of greens to your lunch. I had a hard time combating the afternoon snackies, and trying to fill up on nuts or fruit really didn't help. Try bell peppers or cucumbers with hummus, that's my favorite!

      There's something about 2-4 pm that seems to make everyone want to eat snacks like candy, chips,pop and junk. I have a theory that that is the time of day most of us got home from school. School letting out usually meant a sugary snack and then out to play. My body still goes whadaya mean I have to sit at this desk three more hours... and I'm 56!

      LOL@Lizzie. I know what you mean! @cldunmire I am trying. @m_ell, yes, nuts and fruit dont work for me. For be to feel satified I have to eat too much. I was reading somewhere that I should add salad to dinner and lunch meals. I may try that too.
