    Supposed to go for a run tonight, so of course it starts raining as soon as I get home! The weather is not my friend so far this year. Sadly, I don't really have the space for indoor cardio work or the money for a gym :/

    Hot weather has been getting in the way of exercise plans, can anyone suggest a decent cardio workout that doesn't cost anything? Usually go for a run but it's barely even cooling down in the evenings at the moment :/

    Taken a week off exercise due to illness and now finding it very hard to build up the motivation to start again :/ afraid it will be really hard due to lost fitness

    Completed week 2 of Couch to 5k, not exactly a marathon runner yet but it's nice to feel a little fit

      Sounds like my situation. Also no money for gym membership, also live in a tiny apartment. There's at least enough room for jumping jacks and maybe some situps/pushups, so I tend to do that. If you have a YMCA nearby, you can get in for one day instead of a gym membership, the one here charges $9 for a full day, which isn't too bad in a pinch. I prefer the basketball courts, but they also have swimming, racquetball, and a weight room

      I do the same thing. I started getting a day pass for my local gym. I'm saving for when I can afford a month by month membership. :)

      I hate dealing with a small space. I end up moving furniture around when it's cardio time, which in fact is a quality warmup...:p

      Do circuit training in your home. I'm pretty sure they have videos on youtube for it. It's not as fun as running outside, but it'll burn the calories. :)

      on youtube there are videos from fitness blender that I do every morning b4 school and the HIIT workouts burn more calories than running just thought Id let you know

      HIIT is awesome. I really like the Fitness Blender channel; Zusana Light, Dulcinea and Coach Kozak all have great workouts depending on your tolerance of their personalities :p. Some are as short as 10 minutes but are super effective, so there's always time for a workout before work or after dinner. Enjoy and good luck!

      It's usually the post-sickness physical drain that makes it hard to start up again. It's best to just start with something like walking & see if you get a surge of energy or motivation to do more.

      Great job! I think that's a great program. You have to start somewhere! And not every runner needs to do a marathon. If you run, then you are a runner!
