It depends on what you like :O). Mass Effect 3 just came out for the Consoles, and BioWare has a great reputation. Also, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is either out, or comingout very soon, it was partially written by R.A. Salvatore (Of Drizzt Do'Urden fame). If you're more social, and want to play with other people, check out Star Wars: The Old Republic, or World of Warcraft which now lets you play free until level 20. Guild Wars 2 is coming out sometime this year, and they are subscription-free (basically you buy the game and play as much as you like without a monthly sub). Skyrim is out, and well known on the internet ..."I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee..."

WoW is free until level 20...?? Hmm.. I'm not so sure if I wanna even try it haha.. I might get addicted and have no time to go to work or sleep.

My favorite PC game of all time is Portal, so i'd recommend that as well as Portal 2.

I played Skyrim, and it was a lot of fun, as was Mass Effect 3 (replayed the entire series, actually).

Mass effect 3 is great, Skyrim is as well. I'm currently addicted to Star Wars the Old Republic.

I have to agree with others on here, Mass Effect 3 is top notch, as is Skyrim. If you are interested in shooters I also recommend the recently released Syndicate...interesting game.

Can't go wrong with TF2. The allure of collecting hats is addictive. Not to mention it's free. The style and characterization are what really do it for me.

Minecraft, all the way. at least until Diablo III comes out in May.

I just got started into Battle of Wesnoth (Android and PC). It's a fun turn-based strategy - although it takes up to 30 mintes per game.

If I can get onto my consoles (kids steal the TV too much), I've been working through Final Fantasy 13-2 (much better than the first one)

I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Still pop in to Lord of the Rings Online from time to time (<3), and I am definitely looking forward to Diablo III.

WoW is good, left for some time and played SWTOR, both are very good games for beginners. WoW has good humor. Have a sister that plays Mass Effect and I don't see her or hear from her until she's done with it.

I've been playing SW:TOR occasionally after a long run of other MMORPGs. I lost many, many hours of my life to Skyrim... I am looking forward to Diablo III.

If you like games with a simple concept that you can expand to do amazing things with, try minecraft. you can download the game and extensions (from other websites) and you can even check out youtube to see what some of the amazing things people have accomplished if you don't believe me.

Odd the reply to post added the comment to the main thread. I wanted to second the addiction to SWTOR.

Skyrim just sucked the living force out of me haha. It is such an amazing game, because you just feel engrossed in it. Team Fortress 2 is now free, if one is interested in a good FPS.

Hi, I'm Alessandro, I'm from Italy, I'm in Med School and I like mostly RPGs and adventure games (Monkey Island Style)... lately I got hooked up on GOG.com and I'm playing old games again :)
Right now I'm finishing Ghost Master but right after that I'll go back to The Witcher.. next on the list are Heroes of Might and Magic 5 (which will probably drag me back to HoMM3 too), Neverwinter Nights 2, Titan Quest and many more.. too bad my studies are so hard because I don't get too much time anymore :(
As for a very good game you should try (from my pov) I suggest you try Baldur's Gate 2, it is really addicting! If you don't like old school games or RPGs then Portal and Portal 2 are really awesome too!

If you liked Skyrim and want to check out a different setting you might want to get Fallout: New Vegas - it's a complex RPG, with lots of liberties. I just finished it, with it four alternative endings.

Imagine a nuclear bomb war destroyed almost everything, but the government made "vaults" where people was protected from radiation. You play the game much after the vaults were opened, as a courier who got shot.

Give it a try. The story is well worth it.

Skyrim is a must in my opinion. I've now moved on to Uncharted 3, which I think is a great game as well.
