      Get a healthy cookbook and tell her you want to learn to cook. Invite her over to help. I first learned to eat healthier and lost about 50 pounds when my roommate did that.

      Tell her you need an accountability buddy and ask her to help you get healthy. It doesn't insult her or make her feel like you don't want to spend time, and you stay out of the restaurants.

      I tried the accountability buddy approach and she seemed reluctant or thought i was judging her food habits. maybe i'll throw a healthy only dinner party

      PS - You are right in that one size equals approximately 10 pounds, but inches lost are much more accurate than weight sometimes.

      I find them convenient but it is an expensive product (although there are competitors that are less expensive). The taste isn't anything to write home about. Not disgusting, not great, just bearable.

      I'd just pick up a tub of regular Whey protein powder. It's cheaper, it's much easier to control the ingredients, and you can drink/eat it just about any way you want, whether it's in a shake, oatmeal, dessert, it's up to you.

      I also had to get used to it. But now I think it's not too bad! For me it was especially hard since I have grown up in Germany, and Yogurt is so much better there (and bread, coffee, and beer ;))

      That is SO true! It was definitely an adjustment for me... But, once I got used to it I now can no longer tolerate "regular" yogurt. Too watery/runny/sugary. Funny how that happens, eh?

      I agree with G.A. above. Stevia is supposed to be safe. It is in grocery stores and readily available. It actually tastes decent at least to me. There is so much controversy "out there" about sweeteners. I'll work on giving artificial sweeteners when I'm at goal weight...in the meantime I'll stick with them.

      Have you tried agave nectar? I switched from sweeteners to that..it's all natural you can get it at trader joes ( and other markets) it has a slightly thinner consistency than honey but its good for you :)

      you need to pick up some weight and start lifting light weights and a bunch of reps, when you want to gan muscle and get bigger then you increase the weight and do lower reps.

      Personally, I think being able to do P90X is more about your current fitness level than about your weight. For it to be effective, you'll want to be able to do most of the exercises. If you can do a few pushups, some lunges, some reps with weights, planks, etc. and do several circuits of these, you should be alright. Most people struggle with the pullups so that's normal. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to do it all the first month or so.

      You could make some home-made frozen yogurt, or you could buy some frozen greek yogurt (I think Ben & Jerry's has some). Just watch for added sugars : )

      I really am an ice cream junky and I have discovered I make a frozen fruit smoothie very thick, it works best in the food processor and tell myself it's sorbet...so far I am fooling myself, haha
