    Day off today & rather than lounging about in my pj's, I did boxing, walked the mile to town - in the rain I might add! Then did a 4 mile walk with my bro & I went to fetch HIM!!! I think I'm in love with this site <3 the points & leveling up just appeal to my gamer chick side & it makes me want to do more so I can level up faster! I totally OD'd on sugar today but not going to cry about it, most of it was fruit & I motivated myself which is epic! Happy happy happy!

    So I did really well today with everything... except those bloody carbs! They're like sneaky little ninja's that creep up on you out of nowhere! Damn them. Did much better with the sugar today though =] How is everyone getting on?

      Have you had it checked out? You may also want to explore some stretching in your routine. Common knee pain is really derived from mis-alignment, often from the back and hips/pelvic area that is tight in some way that compromises how the knee is used. If you can, it is worth it to check in with a physical therapist.

      Sounds like a fun day! Don't worry about the fruit, there are much worse things to go overboard with and the antioxidants probably did you good. I actually alternate weeks between low carb vegetables and protein vs. fruit and vegetables (I rarely go for the grains except fresh corn on the cob in salads.) It works well for me so my body doesn't get deprived of nutrients and I don't get bored with my food.

      Awesome! Very active day! You're right about this site... it can be very motivating especially those of us who are gamers and/or are competitive. Plus, with the social aspect, it makes for a very motivating experience!

      @SecretSauce, I've upped my daily carb and sugar allowance so that I don't accidentally starve myself to death, or worse still, smash my laptop because it keeps giving me the red line of doom! I don't have to worry about going crazy, I'm already there! =]

      Haha yeah maybe, I spent 45 minutes bashing that smug face and I sure felt good afterwards! It's got this table tennis mini game on it too called paddle panic, they fire loads of balls at you and you have to bash them back, it's quite addictive trying to beat your own score, managed to beat myself three times today so I was well chuffed! How's your day going? =]

      Hi LazyGirl, doing good on the Challenges at the mo thanks, but rubbish with the whole diet and logging food thing! Ahh motivation where are you...? How're things starting out for you? You know if you find the sugar too restrictive (like most people here do) you can alter your settings to be more realistic in the "settings" tab at the top right of the page. :)

      Hey Kakari, yeah staying in the green on the food logging is harder than I thought! I have far less calories and fat everyday, but the carbs I just blow right out the water every damn time! My sugar's not brilliant either =S Well done for keeping up your challenges, that should help you along even though you're struggling with your food stats. I'm going to try checking the packets before I start munching, rather than realizing too late that I probably shouldn't have eaten that lol =]

      I had trouble with these at first, but I changed the fruits I eat... instead of apples and banana etc, I eat grapefruit, blackberries and oranges :) Low in sugar and carbs but yummy sweet fix :) As for carbs, check out fitnessmagazine.com for some great recipes and snacks that are low car and sugar :)

      Well the carb and sugar ninja's kicked my ass all over the place today! I was doing sooo well and then I ate a load of raisins and puff! Over I go. Really need to start checking these packets BEFORE I start munching! Got my exercise in today though so quite pleased with myself there. Sinatra, good look beating the sugar ninja! Ally, thanks for the advice, I'lll have to try that. And Secret Sauce, sorry you're food track went to hell but at least you're not alone =]

I read your last post and that sooo sounds like me, I always have the best intentions, but often when it comes to it, I just cba, or I put it off til "later" which never comes.       I think it's easy to overdo it at the weekends cause you want to let your hair down and relax. I did okay over the weekend because I was at work, but I struggled to get motivated today and had a lie in and lounged about the house =S Got a walk in with my brother, so better than nothing I suppose =] How did you do today?

    @RBlatchley Hey thanks for the welcome, I know what you mean, today I've done quite well and kept active, whereas usually on my days off, I'll just think stuff it and play on my xbox. I'm hoping being on here will help keep me going because you can see your progress (or stark lack of it) and it reminds you that you're working towards a goal.

      @LazyGirl... I hear ya. It's tough to exercise and be good with the foods you eat when you have a day off. I just struggled through a whole week of vacation. Thankfully, I had my son to keep me super busy.

      Thank you! I just finally got really tired of gaining weight every winter and not taking it off. So, I joined a UFC accredited MMA gym and the guys there had no mercy! It's been an amazing ride and now I'm entering the maintenance and building athleticism stage. I want to run half-marathons, climb mountains, bike, etc. so that's my motivation and this site helps a ton!

      I'm doing quite well today so I'm quite pleased with myself, I am at work for 12hrs though so that keeps me busy. Went way over on carbs and sugar yesterday so keeping an eye on that today and keeping up with all my challenges so yey me! Will catch up with everyone later have a great day! =]

      I completed day 3 today, without a whole lot of issue, total of 60, but in 5 small sets. The end goal is after 6 weeks to be able to do a full 100 in a set, but we'll see :) I'm looking forward to getting to know you as well :)

      That's really good going well done!!! =] I'm hopeless at push ups, but I've just talked my brother into taking up Tennis with me, just need to get some bats and we're away! I'm trying to start with all the things I like doing, or used to like, as I think that'll help keep me on track, if I set the task of going for a run in the morning, there's no way in hell I'd actually stick to it!!! =]

      Yeah I know the feeling, I really didn't feel like doing the pushups this morning, but I forced myself to, and got through it. I had a grand plan to go for a bike ride each morning too, but I already get up at 6, and after I've taken the dog out, and come back in and such, I couldn't imagine getting up at 5:30 and biking through my hilly neighbourhood. Its much better with a partner in crime :)

      Yep, today I felt so tired & drab, I'd have quite happily sat on my xbox shooting random strangers, luckily my brother came & grabbed me for a walk. Some days I just have no motivation or self control, I'm useless lol I'm fine once I get going, I just have to have someone give me that kick up the butt to get me started =] I think you should have a medal for getting up at 6. I'm sooo not a morning person, it's bad enough getting up for work lol

      Congratulations for taking a step towards change! I find the taking little steps opens the door. Start with a mini-challenge of 10 minutes a day of intentional moving, even if you have to do 1 minute segments. After that, the motivation comes more naturally.

      Thanks freespirit, I'm already fairly active and my job has me running around all day, my problem seems to be what I eat. Although I don't often eaten high calorie or fatty foods, I've been eating an awful lot of carbohydrates without even realizing it and my sugar intake isn't exactly brilliant either. But now I know where I'm going wrong I can work on that and up my exercise to help me get back to being a healthy weight =]
