    I'm back after a long absence. Recovering from an operation and have been told in no uncertain terms that weight played a big part in escalating the problem (related to my back). Here goes nothing... time to put my money where my mouth is and make this work.

    Screwed up again with the food... I'm working so many hours I can't squeeze the gym in =( not in a good place with all this weight loss stuff at the moment. On the bright side, my wedding dress arrived at the shop this week! I can go get fitted whenever I like!

    Taught for seven and a half hours yesterday, and seven hours today... I just can't find the energy to go to the gym as well! Must start finding time and energy. Cooked dinner for us tonight and last night with lots of green veggies though so that was a step in the right direction at least!

    Off the bandwagon big time this weekend as we had a wedding to go to interstate... trying to get back into it this week even though chances of getting to the gym are slim to none. Darling Fiance is trying to get on a healthy kick too so hopefully between the two of us we can make it work this week.

    I've seen other people mention Zombies, Run! on here before. I'd be interested in hearing your experiences - any would be good but primarily, since I use the treadmill and have found other apps (like Charity Miles) to be not so great at picking up my steps, I'd like to know how sensitive it is?

    Have been hitting well over the recommended carbs but still logging almost everything I'm eating so I don't feel too bad. Fingers crossed for a day at home tomorrow so I can make it to the gym!

    I want to share with people who understand - I weighed in today on a whim (was going to wait til the end of the week but looked at the scales this afternoon and figured what the heck) and I have lost 1.5kg (3.3 pounds!) in the last week and a half! =D Feeling AWESOME!

      Glad to hear that you are recovering. I'm sorry that you needed an operation to begin with, but now is the time to heal your body and spirit. As you work your program, you'll feel exponentially better about yourself for hitting your goals and will be healthier too! I'm here if you need some support!

      Yes. I did it once for 7 days, and a few times in there, I cheated by eating a few raw veggies here and there. I liked the cleanse and felt really good - but it is a BIG commitment.

      try increasing your exercise in other ways! park far away in the parking lot, sit on a fitness ball at your desk, use the stairs whenever possible, etc! Each little bit adds up :)

      I agree for instance I walk my son to and from Pre k, I park far away at the store and go up and down the stairs more at the house

      As a heads-up, the Zombies Run app is on sale for 2,99 USD for two more days. Hm, if you have an iPhone, the game supports accelerometer, if you have an Android, you've got to run normally for now.

      I have the iPhone version and it certainly makes running a little more fun sometimes. I think it's well worth the risk (basically the price of a coffee) to give it a try.

      I blow carbs and sugar almost daily due to fruits and vegetables so I figure if that's the source I try not to worry

      Good point. Most of my carbs come from fruit in my green smoothie and my one indulgence - a Weight Watchers snack bar mid morning - so I'm not going to beat myself up too much.
