    I just sauteed broccoli, onion and garlic, put them on a roasted sweet potato, and topped them with a little parmesan and a smidgen of salt. What a yummy lunch!

    A pedometer is my best friend! There are days when I really, really don't want to exercise, but seeing 10,000 steps (or more) on my pedometer seriously makes my day.

    I just ate leftover refried beans and rice for breakfast. It's totally non-traditional and sounds weird, but I did this yesterday, too, and was full until lunch time. So yeah, beans and rice is what's for breakfast!

      Glad you like the pic :)--sorry for the late reply--been moving and haven't set up internet at home yet--this is the first chance I've had to be online (@ the library)--I've been attending online classes @ Emporia for an Information Resource Studies Bachelor's and then plan to go into a Master's program after that...Probably through internet studies @ Missouri State (so I won't have to pay out of state anymore)

      Hey there is an Take an extra 2000 steps challenge that might interest you :) I have maxed out at 5000 steps, but that's an improvement on my average of 2000!

    @Library Card Hi Library Card! I saw your post in the SlimKicker Women forum. Do you still want an online fitness buddy? If so, let's help each other, okay? I'm just starting my program but my primary form of exercise is walking. I haven't incorporated any strength training into my workout yet but will do that soon. How about you?

      Sure! The more the merrier :) I've tried strength training but I don't think I'm really good at it. Haven't really had much experience with it except for the walk thru when I got my gym membership. BTW--I think they all show up on the feed. I've noticed that, too, and there doesn't seem to be any way around it.

      great attitude! it's not so much about the weight as getting healthy--and that's what you're doing on this site. You're taking positive steps so there's no reason to think negatively about yourself.
