Did my 3rd day on my "every other day" elliptical schedule. Feeling noticeably stronger already. It's great to be headed back to being in "good shape" :-)

Bought a used Elliptical machine Sunday and started with it today. This thing will be GREAT.

Eating Tofu with salsa on it for lunch. No fat, filling, easy. Tofu can taste any way you want.

Enjoy! I've always like an elliptical more than a treadmill.

I want to buy one... please give me some tips on what to buy, if you can. I'm actually looking for something "manual", non-electric, and capable of sustaining high-speeds. Maybe Grizzled can give us some tips, also?

I just went on "Craigs list" and searched locally. There is always someone selling one of these things who either stopped, or moved onto another piece of equipment. I got mine "almost new" for $100, and I'm sure it was probably $300-$500 new. more...

The make is "Image" and it's well made and sturdy. Can probably handle a weight up to 300 lbs. It has a battery powered mini-computer with a few settings for variable resistances (timed or not), calorie burn timer, heart beat rate & individual "counted steps". There are "grip" contact paddles to measure heart beat.

I had to take out 3 bolts to lower the arm swings to get it in my mid sized SUV & it was easy for 2 males to move it up a flight of stairs. It has wheels on the front of it so I can move it easily if I wish with no assistance. This machine is perfect for me as I plopped it down in front of a big screen TV and can just do my thing while watching Netflix. I plan to do it during some morning exercise shows even if they are doing other stuff. I need someone to yell at me for "more! more!" :-)

Just be patient when looking, I only had to wait 1 day to find this one so you shouldn't wait much longer unless you are in a really remote area. Just be sure you get one that is not "wobbly" or under-classed for your weight.

Ah yes...and it's battery powered for the computer only. Hope that all helps, Cheers!
