Five pounds dropped in the last week. If that's not a reason to keep going, I don't know what is!

I can't believe how much salt is in everything! I figured at least a chicken caesar wrap would be safe!

Doubled my jog distance to 2 miles. Body feels like it was hit by a truck, but I did it!

It was probably the dressing and the way the chicken was cured. Did you prepare it yourself or was it from a restaurant?

It was from a restaurant. And it was probably the dressing. Maybe next time I'll ask if they can swap it for balsamic vinegar. At least I know why I've been so dehydrated up to now.

Yeah, always ask for everything on the side. Most places use way too much dressing for everything. When I dip the tines of my fork in some dressing before each bite, I get the flavor and use only maybe a tablespoon.

That's a really good idea. Thanks!

i thought i was the only one who did the dip the fork then get the food thing. everyone always makes fun of me but i know it saves me a lot of fat and calories, lol. i even do it if i eat something like fajitas, i'll cut them up, dip the fork in the sour cream, and then eat them with the fork. :)

Eating with a fork and knife is just good table manners ;) It also slows me down and helps me enjoy each bite. I feel my fullness before I've cleaned my plate.

Last summer I started walking, by September I was jogging a little, and soon after I was straight up running. I've done two 10ks, several 5ks, and I'm going to start marathon training this summer. When I think back on how bad I felt in the beginning, it's astonishing. We are capable of so much more than we ever think.

Hang in there ! Soon it'll feel just like your 1 mile run. Make sure to give your body a chance to recover before you head out again.

That's awesome, Tercerero! Gives me something to look forward to! Anybob - yeah, I don't think I'm capable of doing that tonight, but starting tomorrow, I'll be out again running it.

Excellent! My whole life I've felt like I should be a runner but I really never liked doing it. It just seemed like something I should be good at. :) I signed up to do the local Warrior Dash this year so I've started trying the running thing again too. It's good to hear that there are others out there in the same boat and that it gets better and easier! Keep it up!!
