H, I weigh it on a scale. $30 from Old Will Knot & $10 shipping. It helps if you are good at simple math. The one I just bought (probobly the fourth in 12 years) in addition to grams, lbs & ounces it also has fluid measurements mil Liters and fluid ounces. They all come with a tare or zero feature so as to be able to "zero" the bowl and/or the previous entry in the case of multiple enteries in the case of a recipe.

I have a difficulty the same as or similar to ctminnesota. Put the case, if I eat a meal at a Church potluck I have a very, very difficult time controling how much I eat. It is for the most part OK food but not the best food nutritionally. What triggers my lack of control compared to whole foods, which is what I eat at home 100% of the time, fat? It is not sugar since I usually eat fresh and dried fruit which unvariably puts me far,far above the daily allowable sugar on this site.

Instead of using the serving spoons in the dishes take a teaspoon and only a dab of each. Make sure you clean the spoon between sticking it in each dish tho'. Then fill your plate with veggies or salad. Also, if you have to have a desert, don't hesitate to cut the pieces smaller. I'm sure there is someone else who would want just a tad to taste something or are trying to cut their calories as well.
