    Just wondering does anyone feel it is ok to have a free day to eat what you want?? It will be done with guidelines set in place.

      Girl, if I didn't do that occasionally, I think I'd just give up. I LOVE healthy food, but Im southern and our best stuff tends to be unhealthy! Research says that you're much more likely to succeed with your fitness goals if you allow yourself to intentionally indulge a little so you don't feel like you're stuck eating things you don't like all the time. :) Good luck!

      I sort of let myself eat whatever I want, but I don't let myself eat everything I want. So if I'm really craving mac and cheese (and who doesn't?) I'll structure my other two meals around that so they aren't carb/dairy heavy. Basically, I definitely do cheat meals, but not so much cheat days, but that's because I think I would go too crazy.

      Just to add, I do this because I want my diet to be sustainable and I can't cut anything I like out forever! So I'm just trying to find out a way to eat those things as part of my normal life without being unhealthy.

      I allow myself occasional splurge meals, too. After, I go straight back to my plan. It helps me stay motivated because I *can* have extra goodies if I really feel like celebrating, but reminds me that I can't eat like that every meal or every day. It feels more like a long-term way of living. :)

      I've been doing that too, intentionally eating unhealthier options for special occasions, like evenings with friends and such, and I've still been losing weight those weeks. As long as it's more of a special occasion and nothing you do too often, I'd think you'll be fine :)

      Yes, it's ok, but I wouldn't make it a planned "free day". I would save those times for special occasions. An example is, recently, my wife and I had a big mountain bike race weekend and a get-a-way for us. I chose that weekend to be a somewhat "free" time. Doing this once in a while will keep you from giving up in my opinion.

      Hmm. I just changed my profile pic, just to see if it was broken. Even after I uploaded the new pic, it didn't seem to take effect until I saved the changes -- there was no visible preview to show what the new avatar would look like until then, and it looked like the change hadn't taken. (I also had to scroll down to find the save button.) If that doesn't help, I'd ask SlimKickerAdmin. :(
